Just wait until to meet Tom Bombadil!!! He unfortunately didn't make the Peter Jackson movies, but he's an interesting character!2 -

Happy new year all. Can anyone tell me if I have to reset anything to start again after reaching the end? I finished some time last November and was waiting for the start of the new year to begin again but although the mileage I entered this morning shows up on the distance log nothing shows on the home page for the milestones. Thanks.0

I've now completed the walk to Mordor. Feeling really proud of myself.5

I want this! Unfortunately after I downloaded it I am getting an error trying to set up an account so I can’t use it. Disappointing!0

I had the same experience yesterday. I was all set to begin my journey, adding a touch of adventure to the mundane task of picking up the back yard. 20 minutes later, I'm frustrated enough that my children notice my face and ask what's wrong.
"I want to walk to Mordor while picking up dog waste." I'm met with quizzical stares.
"The Hobbit? Lord of the Rings? Sam and Frodo have to get to Mordor; I *WANT* to journey with them. It's a trek of more than 1900 miles. I need to start NOW if I'm going to finish this year. And Sam and Frodo don't want me!" Eyerolls and giggles achieved; I got on with my day.1 -
Put the kettle on, Tom B. I’ll be there shortly.4

Joining this group today! This will make my walk/runs more exciting only 4 miles in but almost to Tookland!4
-
Yay! someone to journey with. The app maintenance that was blocking me finally ended (after my 5 mile dog walk was over, of course.) So I simply took the dogs for another as soon as I was able to sign up. Not far from meeting the Black Rider now.3

I've been struggling to find time to run (or exercise in general) since moving. I've started to take a walk during my lunch break and figured I might as well track those on the app as a way to keep me motivated.
1.39 miles walked
5.19 miles to BREE4 -
Finally passed 12 Days After Rivendell! Now I have 45 miles to Hollin Ridge.1
-
I've been going on my walks - just haven't been updating here! Between three walks, I completed another 4.36 miles of my journey. Only 0.83 miles to Bree0
-
It only has one rating. That makes me nervous.0

How does it log the activity? I don’t have a fit bit. Does it just use my phone?0
-
You can use any app to record your walks/runs/cycles whichever way you want you then add that distance into the walk to Mordor app and it will tell you how far in the story you've got.0

I use the MapMyFitness app to actually track my walk/run. I will then manually enter that distance into Walk to Mordor. It's an extra step, but it only takes about 15 seconds.0 -
I’m about to make the acquaintance of Glorfindel.2

I can't sign up - got it installed but setting up an account it just freezes. Shame - I walk 4 miles a day and it would have been nice to try.0
