Please share your hot chocolate drink recipes with me. Here’s a new one of mine:
Peppermint Bliss - 375 calories
1 cup whole milk
3 tbsp Stephen’s Chocolate Mint Truffle hot cocoa mix
1 tbsp Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate mix
1 round peppermint hard candy, crushed
8 mini marshmallows
Bring milk up to almost a simmer in small pot over low heat, whisking in the cocoa mixes. When the milk barely starts moving on it’s own like it’s about to simmer, it’s ready. Pour into mug over the crushed peppermint candy and add marshmallows. Enjoy.
(I double this and share with hubby)
How would you skinny up this recipe?
And please share your own hot chocolate recipes or methods! 🥛🍫☕️

Recently purchased from Amazon a rich chocolate sauce, I've been adding it to an 8 ounce cup of decaf coffee with an additional ingredient, flax milk-the chocolate sauce is made by Torani. This is quite good2

Here’s my own skinny version of my recipe above:
Peppermint Bliss Lower Cal version - 220 calories
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 tbsp Stephen’s Chocolate Mint Truffle hot cocoa mix
2 tbsp Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate mix
1 round peppermint hard candy, crushed
5 mini marshmallows
You save about 150 cal by using almond milk, less marshmallows, and adjusting the ratio of the mixes (the Sipping Chocolate has less calories than the hot cocoa).
I haven’t tried this yet, but I will tonight!0 -
2 Tbsp. Swiss Miss dark chocolate cocoa mix
1 Tbsp. plain cocoa powder (I prefer natural cocoa, but use Dutch process if you prefer)
a few heavy-handed dashes of ground cinnamon
a couple of light dashes of cayenne (ground red pepper)
a splash of vanilla extract
a splash of almond extract
Combine the above in a cup or mug. Heat 1 cup (240 ml) of dairy or plant-based milk of your choice. Add a small amount of the milk to the other ingredients and stir until smooth. Add a bit more and stir until smooth again. Add the rest and stir.
Using plain, unsweetened soy milk, this came to a bit shy of 200 kcal and was very yummy.2 -
I use a milk frother and add:
2tbsp of 70% dark chocolate ( bar blended into granules)
200ml milk of choice (I use soya or almond)
1 tbsp brandy (optionally added at the end)1 -
1 Tbsp Trader Joe’s Sipping Chocolate
1 Swiss Miss Keurig Pod
1 tub Nestle Original Coffee Mate
100 calories - was really easy to make at work this morning. Mmm.0 -

I do a SUPER similar one.
Cocoa powder (to taste), milk of choice in a milk frother and add a little but of French vanilla coffee creamer. Delish.0
