Happy 2020 to my fellow Maintainers

Happy New Year y’all. The past few weeks set me back a bit, working on our home renovation and eating (and drinking) out every night. I gained 5#. But 2020 puts me at 4 years in maintenance— and I’ll take that. Jan-March are typically the months when Im most motivated.
I’m also making minor tweaks to my 2020 plan to add a bit more fish and eggs and drop all the highly reactive foods from my recent test. They include coconut, chickpeas, all dairy, lemon, sesame, sunflower and tomatoes. Also meat and beer, but I don’t consume that anyway.
Bottom line, I continue to try new things and dial it in. Each year I become more and more confident that those 75# are in the rear view mirror! Cheers

I've pretty much considered myself on maintenance since early 2013, with a few periods of 15lb weight gain (aka, oh crap, things got out of control, let's rain them back). From Mid-2011 to Early 2013 I lost 50lbs total (193-143).
This past September I noticed things getting a bit away from me (somehow all the clothes in my closet shrunk, imagine that) and lost 18lbs, finding myself around 146 and 5'11 (I think I may be shorter now). My goal for 2020 is to NOT let it get out of control, maintaining in a 3+/3- range from 150. To do so I've set out to promise myself that I get on the scale EVERY SUNDAY and if I can't Sunday, plan ahead. Must weight at least 1x per week for all of 2020. This is key because usually I'll get "here" and think "ah, I'm good", have a few days per week where I think "Ah, I gained, I don't want to see the #" and all of a sudden months later nothing fits.
@nowine4me Even though I'm not having reactions to certain foods, it seems my BF is and I keep requesting he gets a recommendation for a test from his PCP. We know lactose is a problem, but he's eliminated that and still has issues. We can't pin point what though. Can I ask what test you took and who administrated it? As a kid, I went to an allergist, but I'm not really sure if this is the same thing.
Maintenance is hard. Requires just as much work as losing weight (even more I think sometimes). I'm hoping that somehow I find the answer in 2020.2 -

Started WW 2013 to lose weight at age 65 @376#
Made GW 184 in March 2018. Been on Maintenance below 184 ever since.
Yesterday was my official WW WI 178.4 exact same as January 2019!
Maintenance keeps me diligent to not gain back what I lost. (-197)8 -
Happy New year to you as well! Maintaining now for 2 years and 3 months but who's counting? Here's hoping that 2020 is a great year for all of us no matter what our goals may be.3

Happy 2020! I effectively maintained through 2019 (dipped a bit lower but allowed myself to drift back up and not sure it's worth the effort to maintain that extra few pounds loss). I still feel like an imposter here7

I’m bouncing around a bit too, but with a few exceptions, stayed under scream weight. Next up, dip back into range and stay there, I’ve planned three beach vacations in March, April and May as a bit of added incentive.5

Sometime this year, I start year 5 of maintaining.
Weight loss started 4/17/2015. Maintenance kind of depends on how one counts. I hit goal, then overshot by a few pounds, then bounced back up to goal, hung out there for a while, then started creeping up (ups and downs with an overall up trend, but the highest weight was BMI 23-point-something so I didn't get real stressed about it).
Finally, for about the last 3-4 months, my Libra trend line is slowly (very slowly) but clearly creeping down again, as I'd like. (And that's with Libra smoothing set at 60 days and forecast at 30, so it's not very responsive to minor temporary blips.)
Psychologically, or maybe physiologically, I feel like I've finally turned a corner. Many of you know that I'm a hedonic eater, banking calories most days to have a very indulge-y day once every week or two. That hasn't changed, but my innate desire to eat on indulge-y days just doesn't seem to range as high: I feel like stopping sooner. Some self-limiting choices seem to have become just that small, useful bit more automatic, or at least easier. I wish I knew what the difference is.
Hoping this tendency will continue, and - if I'm lucky - maybe even increase.

Happy New Year maintainers I'm in my 7th year now of maintenance and it still takes working at it to keep within my range.9

I started maintenance last Sept and am just below my maintenance ceiling after a two week vacation, two lengthy colds during which I didn’t exercise, oral surgery after which I also did not exercise, and the holidays. I failed at maintenance last time; after maintaining for close to a year I gained half the weight back. So now I’m being more disciplined, especially since I strained my back lifting and my recomp progress is on hold. I’m back to eating at a deficit until 2-3 of the pounds come back off. Hopefully that syncs with when I’m ready to start lifting again.5

Happy 2020 to everyone I've missed to date! Health and happiness in the New Year!
2019 involved substantial emotional turmoil for me; but, weight-wise, with some active weight management in late summer and late October/early November to ensure my November 20 MFP-anniversary numbers were good it all turned out to be as close to maintenance as I think one can expect.
My back of the napkin calculations say that it was about 3.5 years post intense weight loss effort and a good 2.5 years past the 12 months I spent losing a bit less than a lb a month before I found myself at a point where I am no longer feeling "I am only a step away from screwing up so badly that I will regain all the weight I've lost" and now feel that "it would take substantial effort on my part for me to screw up so badly that I end up regaining all the weight I've lost"!
Other than making me sound cocky, this is definitely a shift in mind-set for me, and I believe (without measurements to back me), that it may have something to do with hormonal stabilization over time... or just me sleeping a bit more and/or slowly growing up into adulthood!
As I mentioned in the Holiday Weight Gain thread, I've noticed a few periods of time where I've skipped multiple weight-in (both going up and going down in weight)... one time period was unique and unavoidable; but, in general, this doesn't sound like a "habit" I want to cultivate.7
