Best time to eat carbs on a low to moderate diet

Hi,
I am trying to tone up and lose some fat. I am currently at 28% body fat. In 5'7 and rock the dad bod like no other. I am trying to keep my total calories to 2000 and have my macros as follows 100g carbs, 100g fats and in think it's set at 175g of protein. Should this diet suffice if I am looking to lean out? Also, when is the best time to eat carbs and what kinds for this plan.
TIA!

Why precisely do you think carb timing matters for weight loss / fat loss?
It can matter for exercise performance and recovery but guessing that's not what you are thinking of.4 -
Meal/macro timing doesn't matter, unless you're an elite athlete trying to get that last 0.05% of performance. Eat when you're hungry.

Carbohydrate timing is irrelevant for your goals, so I wouldn't even worry about that.
When choosing what carbohydrates to eat, you'll want to consider what you enjoy eating, meeting your overall nutritional needs, and being conscious of what foods make you feel satiated. Chances are you already have some favorite carbohydrate-containing foods, so you just need to figure out what portion sizes fit into your plan.3 -

I was thinking of making sure I have enough energy at the gym. First example, I have noticed that if I workout within an hour or so of eating, I have more energy. There have been a few times that I couldn't have dinner prepared in time for the gym and I would not feel well and feel like I need some food before I was ready to leave.0 -
Sounds like the ideal time for YOU to eat is within an hour before working out.4

That's a valid reason for you to eat before a workout - to have a better workout.
(There's also some people who workout better fasted or have no preference either fed or unfed which is why there isn't a one size fits all approach.)
Losing fat comes from a sustained (and sustainable) calorie deficit so if timing food helps you adhere to your eating goal it can be a positive. After all making dieting easier is a sensible course of action.1 -

How much do you have to pay Dr. Helms everytime you post this? 🤔0
