Go work out instead! Then, if you're still hungry or craving, you can treat yourself as long as it's within the limits of whatever you burned!
  • Try going for a fast pace walk for 30 min or run

    "run, Forrest, run"

(Then clean out your cupboards and fridge of ALL the junk food. "Binge" on a watermellon.... mmmmm yum!)

    Don't binge.
  • I like that idea, get a workout in and then you'll totally earn a healthy snack. Keep your goal in mind! You can do it!
  • Either go for a walk outside, have a tall glass of ice water (crunch on the ice too), or reach INTO your fridge and pick an apple, some carrots, or something that makes your jaw work. And there's always air-popped popcorn. If you need to eat, make a good choice!!! :flowerforyou:

Or some frozen banana blended with whey protein, fills me up every time! Or oats in the mike with some cinnamon and raisins! Don't binge, just eat something small enough to hold you til the next mealtime or til you burn some wicked calories and "earn" a steak :)
  • don't do it! try to remember how frustrating life is post-binge!

if you really want it go and do a walk or a workout before hand so that way you wont feel as guilty... if you do have it without exercise there is a good chance you will be up on the scales next week and not only that but your gonna feel like crap straight after a binge and youll kick yourself for it... not a nice feeling.... remember why you joined MFP... and your doing so well dont mess it up now :(

Plan ahead. Eat every 2-3 hours so you will not be hungry.

Oh and don't buy junk food. Don't even keep it in the house.

Just remember all the work you have done thus far.. a few seconds over the lips and tongue is not worth hours in the gym burning it off later... call a friend, go for a walk.. dont just sit at home.. getting bored is your enemy at this point...

    here's some ideas:
go for walk, call a friend and chat, write a friend you haven't talked to in a little while an email just to say hello, make a fun to-do list...things you wanna do before the end of the year and then things you want to do someday, start a blog, learn something new...

I have this problem too- especially night time- I finally CHOSE to throw out what I craved. It is hard. I tell myself that is money I am tossing out- but really it is junk that hurts myself. Try stocking up on fruits and veggies. I found a new love for fresh peaches- not sure why, I used to hate them. Maybe you need more protein in your diet and should try figuring this out by tracking your foods. If this happens to me I crave carbs more. So if I am low on protein (as much as I don't like supplements) I will drink a shake. I get rice milk(dairy doesn't always agree with me) and chocolate flavor whey/soy protein powder. Drink it up and it seriously tastes like a chocolate milk. WIsh I had more suggestions. ---oh, tv commercials can be the worst. If this is increasing your desire to eat junk, try to dvr and skip commercials, or watch movies instead, or read.---so much info out there....
