Calories burned in bed...

Has anyone thought about calories burned in the sack? Esp when you're on top for a long time! There's nothing listed on MFP so I did some googling and the numbers are all over the place. I think my BF would be pretty p.o.'ed if I wore my HRM while we went at it!

Im sure if u told him its the HRM or nada, he wont mind the HRM much, please keep us posted on the results!0

I heard it was 120 calories for 20 mintues0

I think you should tell him it's for scientific research... Surely he couldn't argue against that?0
-
LOL. Maybe you can discreetly time yourself, and then figure out something comparable? I've wondered about this too, and have also considered taking my HRM to the bedroom! But I think the benefits are in more than just the calorie burn!0

I don't count it because I was doing that when I gained weight so I can't kid myself that's making me lose.0

I swear this gets asked once a day. I forget what site I found my info from... but I log mine as horizontal belly dancing0

I thought you weren't supposed to log things that are part of your typical routine0

I consider this activity party of my normal daily routine, and therefore do not count it.0

Good question! I don't have an HRM so its up to you to let us know. Tell him its for research and if the results are good then more and more "workouts" will be a requirement in order to full fill your goals. I'm sure he is up to more and more of that "workout" lol.0

i have been trying to get my husband to let me wear my hrm in the sack he refuses lmao0

I agree with a previous poster. If it is something you did while fat, don't think you can count it in your weight loss journey now. You are just kidding yourself.0

Do it doggy style so he can't see the HRM other than the strap.0 -

I don't count it since it zeroes out with the good deal of protein I ingest. :drinker:0 -

I read a womans day article last week where it said the avg sized woman burns up tp 414 per hour. Dudes burn more of course. I am sure I burn 600-800 per session. It's great cardio if you do it right!:smokin:
Here's the article

i'm not really planning on logging it for weight loss, more just curious...although if you think of it that way, i used to spin 3x a week before i really started on the weight loss journey but i still count my spinning now...0 -
