    SEPT CHALLENGE FOLKS THAT ARE USING THE BUSHMEN SERIES EXERCISES! I forgot to add that you need to being each day with a tabata 4 minute start. I am using this young woman's series. Its great but you have to stay in time with her. 20 seconds hard core 10 seconds rest for minutes. It will push you hard and will shape and tone large muscle group areas. Make sure everyday starts with a tabata no matter what the challenge is!     O.K. Let's start this week off right! Since we are short this week I'm offering a mini-challenge. Remember Gym Class? Do you remember doing the bear walk? As a side mini-challenge you don't have to ever do the mini-challenges. But if you'd like to earn your team an extra point bearwalk for 3 minutes. Seems easy but it has to be a constant bear walk constantly moving for 3 minutes. You might be surprised! If you do the bear walk at the end of the week ask them to add one point to your team score! if you choose not too or cannot perform the mini-challenge its all good! This is just something to get our challenge up and running! So there it is FIRST MINI-CHALLENGE a Constant 3 minute Bearwalk.

    Pygmy Series DONE with the 4 minute Tabata workout to boot! I thought it wouldn't be so bad until I DID IT! Man, am I out of shape! Can't wait to see how I feel at the end of this month! LOL

    I also walked 3 miles!

    Starting weight on September 1, 2011: 169 pounds

    May the the fat burning BEGIN!

    Didn't see the Tabata part until I was done with my workout today. Burned more calories than I ever have in one day and I'm wipe out! Will do it starting tomorrow. Did the Bushman and those globe jumps just about killed me even with the adjustment I'm doing because I can't jump.

    SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE
    WEEK 1 – BUSHMEN SERIES (Advanced)
    Week One Daily Exercise Challenge
    Each team member that completes their daily exercise challenge receives one point, if all team members complete each daily exercise for all 6 days the team is then awarded an additional 5 Bonus Points.
    Welcome to 300 Week You will do 6 exercises at 50 reps as quickly as possible 3 times this week. These are not to be broken up into segments. You are the BUSHMEN it’s time to push yourself!
    Day 1 - 50 Squat Kicks, 50 Jumping Jacks , 50 Crunches, 50 Mountain Climbers, 50 Wood Chops and last but not least 50 Globe Jumps!
    Day 2 - 2 sets of 15 Swimmer’s Presses, 2 sets of 21’s, 2 sets of 15 Dumbbell Chest Fly’s, 2 Sets of 15 Lawnmowers, 2 sets of Tricep Kickbacks, 2 sets of 15 Shoulder Shrugs (weighted)

Please do your best as you are much stronger than you believe.

    So, I am left a little bit confused... I still have not seen a post of the exercises for the Bushman series. Did I miss when that was posted? If so, could someone please re-post the link for me?:flowerforyou:

    I guess if I don't see anything else, I'll be doing my best effort to do the exercises with my best guess of how they are intended to be done. I'm gonna do this right after work before I have a chance to chicken out:wink:

    Challenges done! Except for the tabata....I didn't see that until later. Can you provide some explanation for the bear walk? I'm not sure what that is. Thanks!

    What's a bearwalk? SMH, LOL! stand up put your feet on the floor hunched over and walk with feet and legs on the floor? Like a bear walks? Walk at a constant pace for 3 minutes no stopping!

    I will be away from my computer until at least the 10th of September. My husband and I are going camping for a week plus. I will log in via phone. I will try to use the internet features on my phone to record my challenge progress here. If that fails, please just check my diary; everything should be recorded. Don't think I have forgotten you; I wish you the best.

    @mkaluzny: thanks for posting that bear walk!

    I will also be camping but just for the weekend. I am hoping to get reception from my phone to be able to log in but we are camping near a huge gorge so it may be shifty.
    However I will only be camping tomorrow night through Sunday morning so if worst comes to worst you will only be without me for 1 day.
    I completed Day 1 for the Bushmen series and came in under calories and over water.

    what did everyone think of their first day?

    Hi,
    I did day 2 exercises today because I biked an extra 8KM and walked for an hour uphill (damn this living on a mountain :O )
    I drank lots and lots and lots of water and my calories were fine.

    Ok, I completed my workouts for 9/1...I am so suprised I can walk today!! The globe jumps and bear walk KILLED my legs!!! Also I filled out my food diary and drank my water. So far so good.

    hi all,
    Just finished today's challenge work out, I did the Bushmen's workout, but did modify it

    We are leaving for the long weekend and I'm not sure what my wifi signal will be so my planned calories are good and I am working on finishing my jug of water

    No bear crawls and likely won't since I won't be home
    I will do the bushman workout again tomorrow

    hey guys :) im visiting family all weekend so my checking in here might be a little hit or miss, but im trying to as much as possible.

    i was under calories, over water and did my daily challenges yesterday!
    i didnt know about the tabata workout. do we need to do that every time before the daily challenges?
    and i havent done the bear walk yet, but will before sunday. :)

    im planning on doing day 2 workout tomorrow. was under calories, and over water for today too. looking forward to my kenpo and daily exercises tomorrow.

    Completed exercise challenges (including Tabata), will at least meet water and will be under calories. Need to stay off my elbow for a couple more days so will try the bear walk on Sunday.

    I can't wait to not have to modify everything.
