Potatoe Chips Help

Hi im going to do some maris piper potatoe chips for dinner, there are no calorie guidlines on the bag. When i scan the product would this be classed as raw potatoe or cooked? Because do.i weigh the chips once they are cooked or raw before i cook them please ? To get the correct guidlines

Best bet is to use a USDA or large supermarket entry rather than a barcode scan for example Tesco/Walmart/Aldi.

Raw tends to be more accurate for produce as during cooking the product will lose water, which affects the weight but not the amount of calories, but you have no way of knowing how much it's lost.

Don't forget to also log any oil/seasonings you use.

That's unusual it's a requirement in the UK to show calorie info on packaging (presume you're UK from Frylight reference).

Anyway this is the Tesco Nutritional info, it should be more or less the same per 100g.

Just make sure whatever entry you pick is roughly equivalent to that.

P.S. the Rapeseed Oil Frylight makes fantastic frylight baked chips! Really tasty with a bit of parmesan and garlic salt stirred in.
