Dear friends,
I am using myfitnesspal application for about 76 days, really happy with tracking my daily in-take calories.
I wanna track my daily workout (steps, running, Gym, playing soccer or any kind of sports) through integrated apps with myfitnesspal automatically.
I know that I can add exercise on myfitnesspal application, the only accurate burned calories are walking steps, running while holding my iPhone (which is not applicable in other sports)
For example, how can I track my burned calories while playing football?? Without having apple watch or health tracker.
I always add exercise in myfitnesspal, I choose ”playing football” and put an estimated duration of 50 mins (which is actually not accurate at all) to get estimated burned calories.
Anyone has ana advice, please??
If I bought an apple watch of Fitbit, could it calculate estimated the total burned calories in an exact duration of time includes minutes of sprints , minutes of rest and etc.??

A fitness tracker could give you better estimates, especially a model that you can tell what activity you're doing. If you have an average heart rate range (as compared with the general population), it should be reasonable for a range of activity where HR (or some other factor it can measure, like speed, sustance, etc.) is closely correlated with calorie consumption.0

This. I use a polar watch and heart rate strap. I feel it is extremely accurate.0 -

IF you want to move beyond starting a generic exercise for 50 minutes and into something that takes more granular activity level changes into account you will have to move to a fitness watch. otherwise you could freely use various tracking apps on your phone, from Strava or Pacer to even Fitbit without using a band.
I use a Fitbit band as it has proven to be sufficient and sufficiently detailed for me. Furthermore, until I can fully use a watch for email, text, voice, and video calling, I will continue to carry my phone with me at all times. Therefore the smart features are of incredibly minor importance to me... hence Charge 3 is what I use.
Absent financial constraints I would probably rate the Apple watches and Samsung watches as the best smart-watches, followed by the corresponding Fitbit, and in that order. I would rate the Garmin line as the most athletically oriented with metrics that the other vendors don't even get into. Some Polars might be worth considering, though I am not clear (nor have I ever really looked into) where 1 on 1 Polar beats Garmin. Fitbits are still detailed and techy enough for generic amateurs; but, they do not offer the training level details higher models of Garmins would.
Considerations such as pool use / rough handling / expectation of breakage or loss should also be taken into account.0 -

I am thinking to get Fitbit charge 3 or Fitbit Inspire HR (cause I do not need the Fitbit bay, quick replies or voice replies And it is cheap).
I hope it will be efficient to track my fitness and burned calories (especially in playing soccer), but I am so afraid cause it does not have built-in GPS and it will count depending on heart rate only.So I do not know if it will Affect the result so much or not).
The most important thing that it integrate with myfitnesspal👍
Btw I will sync it with my mobile once a day (is it ok?!)0 -
If you intend to use your tracker while wearing mosquito repellent with DEET, be sure to check the material over the optical heart rate sensor. I ruined an old Fitbit charge that way. When I was looking, only the Apple Watch had a glass sensor.0
