calories adjustment from Garmin connect, myfitnesspal add to much calories

I have connected MyFitnessPal with my Garmin connect account. My idea is to have calories goal which depends from activities.
Today I done swimming workout and garmin calculated 500 calories burned + steps ant all active calories at Garmin connect around 1000. But MyFitnessPal adjusted calories and add 1900 from garmin. Which translates to total 3300 calories, what is clearly to much for my, while my basal metabolic rate is 1440, done one workout 500calc, and all day spend at office.
Anyone can explain how these adjustmens works?

    For one thing, you are burning more than just your BMR and workout calories...you are burning your BMR+NEAT+Workout calories...your BMR is just the calories you burn existing and nothing else. I also assume by your user name that you are male? I'm hard pressed to believe that if you are male that your basal calories are 1440...most guys are in the neighborhood of 1800-1900 for basal calories. I'm also confused...is the total of 3300 calories the total expenditure Garmin is giving you? If so, that would be your TDEE maintenance and I would think 3300 wouldn't be out of the ordinary for an active male.

    Yeah my TDEE Maintenance as an active 5'8" woman (250lbs) is around 3000 calories. So I guess it depends on if what goal you're set to. But it may not be an entirely unreasonable figure.

    Yes, I am male, 34 years old, 176cm height and my weight 86kg (BF 24.9%, muscle mass 41.2%). I had opportunity measure my basal metabolic rate at lab. and scored 1443 (if be exact) calories. With 72% from fat, 13 from carbs and 15 from protein.
    My goal decrease bodyfat, but maintain muscle mass.
    Consultant suggest calculate my calories: basal metabolic + activity from garmin (because I use it) + ~200 colories for untracked activities, like sitting. If I understand correct, garmin activity calories counts steps to.
    Because goal lose some fat, suggest maintain calories deficit ~200. Macros distribution 45% carbs, 25% fat, 30% protein.
    For this goal I try to configure garmin connect and myftinesspal. But counting results in apps are complete different.
    What will be correct way to configure myfitnesspal. How much I should set goal calories, when activities are added from garmin ?

    MFP works by BMR x NEAT Activity + Exercise and will set your calorie goal for you based on your goals.

    It can take a couple of weeks to settle in with a tracker. Providing you're set at the correct activity level, you shouldn't get huge adjustments from steps. The reason for a lot of people's larger adjustments is assuming they are sedentary just because they work at a desk. I am a desk jockey but still get in an average of 8500 steps daily without doing any intentional exercise, so set myself to Lightly Active, this gives me only a small adjustment most days and means I don't overeat on days I am less active.

    Alternatively you can set yourself a TDEE calorie goal from another website such as SailRabbit and disconnect your Garmin altogether from MFP and eat a fixed amount daily and adjust based on what your weight does vs what you want it to do.
