Does MFP allow calorie adjustment for only one exercise?

Hello,

I did 29 minutes of circuit training and MFP shows a calorie adjustment of 188, I have walked 5,000 steps this morning and the calorie adjustment is 0. Can we only get adjustments for one exercise?

Thanks - Suzanne

No but you only get a calorie adjustment for steps if it's over and above your activity level.

Nope. You can get a calorie adjustment from any number of exercises per day. Activity adjustments from trackers don't kick in until after your tracker has determined that you have been more active than your activity setting, though. And sometimes they don't sync immediately. And some trackers are better integrated than others. If you tell us which tracker you're using, maybe we can be more helpful.

I have a similar issues with apple watch. I did a class where my watch shows I burned over 200 calories. My adjustment is only +61 for exercise. I have my goals set as "sedentary" since I have a desk job and set my exercise to 4x week for 60mins.

When I have the app adjust to exercise only and take the "calorie adjustment" off, the app tells me that I can eat 200+ calories because of my workout.

I am assuming keeping the calorie adjustment on is more accurate but that is a big difference for people trying to lose weight or maintain weight.

@autumnblade75 I use S Health as my tracker since I have a Samsung Galaxy Active2 watch. I know there are issues with this app and MFP not syncing at times. It still only gives me adjustment for one exercise no matter what it is.

Yeah that's a different story SHealth & MFP haven't been working together well for some time now.

Are you troubled that you don't have a log of individual exercises, or do you not think you're getting credit for all of them?

It is my understanding that all of the trackers only provide a single adjustment, but that adjustment accounts for all activity.

If you want a record of several workouts in a day, you may need to log them to MFP manually.

It all depends on the app integration, SHealth should log them separately, from my previous experience with it. Although it's been a couple of years so it may have changed.

    My Garmin does:
    • I get a calorie adjustment based on steps.
    • I get an exercise logged for any activities I've recorded on my watch such as Yoga, Rowing, Running, etc individually.

    I stand corrected.

    Maybe this thread can help?
