What kind of makeup do you use and why do you like it? I need/want to revamp and replace all my current supplies. Right now I have all different brands

I love Clinique. have sensitive dry skin and I fnd their product really good for ths. I also love being able to try new products for free durng bonus time.0
-
I like the revlon colorstay.. It lasts ALL day, covers great and it's not too heavy.0
-
I don't wear a lot of makeup, but I love CoverGirl's LashBlast Volume Blasting Mascara...one tube lasts a while and it goes on really nice. Haha I'm 21 and I just starting wearing makeup. I had no idea how to do any of it until a year or so ago!0

I use bare minerals. I like it because it doesn't leave the lines that some makeup can. It also looks more natural. For my eyeshadows I use Avon. They have some really good deals sometimes on eyeshadow packages (look it up!) so it's just a lot cheaper than buying in the store. I love my liquid eye liner from Avon and the bottle lasts forever. Mascara = anything that isn't one of the huge brushes. I can't stand those on my eyelashes. The mascara brushes that are curved actually work well for getting your eyelashes to curl up more and look thicker without clumping. Hope this helps!0

I have been using Revlon Colorstay Foundation since the early nineties. It really does have more staying power than other foundations I have tried. As far as other make-ups, I usually use whatever suits my fancy......I am looking to try the mineral foundation though. I have 2 friends who use it and their skin looks amazing when it is on - but very natural. Bare Essentials I think?0

Depends on what product. I like the Temptu air pods for foundation, Nars for blush, Urban Decay for eye liners and shadows, Dior for mascara, Nars and Sephora for lipstick.0
-
I LOVE Bare Escentuals
It's all I really wear(when I actually wear it)0 -
Get foundation/powder through Clinique or Mary Kay.
Eye shadows and lipstick/lip glosses through Avon. Love Avon books....pretty good makeup for a reasonable price!!0 -
Two words:
Bare Minerals.
It's amazing. You never think liquid foundation bothers you until you try this stuff. Plus, it has SPF built in. It's worth the money.
But mascara? I'll never use anything other than Voluminous. Ever.
(oh, and if it's not to pricey for your pocketbook, and if it's something that interests you, Latisse really DOES work! my lashes look amaaaaaazing!)
Good luck!0 -
MAC!!!! It's used in fashion shows and for magazine shoots. That stuff rocks!0

I use wet n wild and elf. They are cheap and they have great products.
Also I like cover girl mascara0 -
Mac is a dream, except for their mascara I find is a little clumpy. Their sheer foundations with spf make my skin perfectly dewey without oil and have minerals, so it's good for you
If you're looking to go a little cheaper, stick with anything natural and with minerals. These will keep your skin looking nicer underneath, and that way, days where makeup is a no, you won't be scared to see the light of day.0 -
Clinique, Covergirl, Neutrogena, Bare Minerals -- pretty much everyone is one of those brands.
I don't think one single brand exists where I like everything0 -
For my foundation, I use a mineral makeup. The brand I use is Fresh Minerals. I REALLY want to try Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover. As far as everything else it is all different brands. A different brand for mascara, a different one for eye shadows, blush, lip gloss, eye liner, everything. I LOVE a mineral base makeup because it seems so fresh and it is so light weight and easy on the skin. It gives you the coverage you want without looking heavy and cakey. I choose different brands for everything else because I just found that I REALLY REALLY loved them. I don't mind that they are all different.0

I do not wear any makeup! It's a wonderful feeling.0

I really hate wearing make-up but I have to wear one at work or parties. The few ones that I wear for my work/parties. For my face powder I love Maybelline but my eyeliner, eyeshadow that I only used when going to parties, mousse cheek blush & lipstick are all from Avon.0

I'm a covergirl girl! I love the mascara (brown-black is my shade, because brown is too light, black is too dark) and then the eyeliner has the smudge thing.. Awesome!0

Go to sephora with some extra money, and go CRAZY
I LOVE that place, it's my heaven(if my heaven wasn't a restaurant)0 -
MAC eyeliner is a god.
I also love Urban Decay.0 -
loreal million lashes mascara is the bomb diggity. I have colour stay at the moment, but dont like the coverage as much as my rimmel match perfection.. and even that i'm fussy about. Struggling to find the perfect foundation!0

I LOVE MAKEUP! I try all different kinds and am very particular. My foundation is Estee Lauder DoubleWear Light Coverage. With a makeup brush it is applied for perfectly. Then to set it I dust with Nuetrogena Mineral Foundation. Flawless, I mean flawless. AND LIGHT! Then blush, I use Estee Lauder but only cause I am a fussy one. I really think blush is where you can use a cheaper one. Um....I am obsessed with mascara and people are amazed my lashes are real. Invest in good foundation and mascara. I use Estee Lauder DoubleWear Mascara in More Black. I applies about 8-10 coats (and to be honest I always ask for a sample of their Sumptuous line and combine the two for both effects. I use Cover Girl eyeliner (black). I think you can cheap out here too. I only apply cover-up to the inside corners of my undereyes and use a good undereye cream so it blends naturally.
I have been experimenting with make-up for years and get compliments all the time from people. I think you really have to do your homework and experiment if you want to make it look good.
And always use a moisturizer with sunscreen to keep your youthfulness!0 -
Inglot eye shadow (can be bought online) its comparable to MAC only cheaper and maybelline falsies flared mascara is my new favorite!!0
-
I really like hard candy. I get it at Walmart. It's reasonably priced. The tinted moisturizer is amazing. It doesn't look like a mask kwim? Just a little tint to even out your skin tone. The eye colors are fun. And their mascara is better than anything else I've tried at that price point. Their liquid eyeliner is the only one I've ever been able to get to go in straight. I used to use a lot of nyc products because of the price... But I find the hard candy brand looks nice all day and costs just a bit more.. I do still use nyc loose translucent powder if things get too shiny though.0

Well if I just feel like putting on or I'm not really going anywhere important, Covergirl. If it's a night out or a job interview, I use my MAC products I bought eyeshadow ($15) lipliner ($10) and a lipstick ($15) from there. Unfortunately it's expensive but they're really worth the money, especially if you use make up a lot. The eyeshadow stays on forever! As do the lipstick and lipliner.
Except my mascara. I only use one kind of it after trying many, and that's the Maybelline Great Lash. I stand by that stuff. It's cheap and it's the absolute best!0 -
i use all sorts of brands but find boujoir really good for my make-up, depending on the make-up ie eye liner mascara foundation ect but i no loreal mouse foundation made my skin react really badly and it went dry and flakey when i used it but atm i have rimmel 24hr and it's great and a cheap superdrug bronzer for my blusher (amazing) and a expensive victoria jackson for eye shadow and lip stick so it all depends on what works best for you, id try a few things out first and see what works best as everyones skin is different and what make work for one person may not work for another

I love certain E.L.F. products, and certain ULTA products, and I love bare minerals, and cover girl lash blast mascara, and I LOVE Urban decay eyeliner.0

HI! I am a makeup artist and in order to give you a true recommendation I would need to know your skin type (dry, oily, combination) but for pricier foundations I recommend NARS sheer glow for dry skin and NARS sheer matte for oily skin for more affordable drugstore foundations my number one recommended foundation is Revlon color stay they offer a range of colors dry/normal skin and a range of colors for oily/combination skin choose the kind for your skin type. If you want your foundation to last then use a large fluffy brush and lightly dust some translucent powder on top to set your foundation (best to do this after blush). For blushes, lipsticks, lipglosses, eyeshadows, etc. I recommend sticking to Revlon, Loreal, Rimmel, or Maybelline. I personally stay away from Covergirl, Covergirl may occasionally have some good mascaras but I find that the majority of their products are low quality and have low pigmentation. If you are willing to spend a little bit of money on some makeup and have a Sephora near you I would recommend going in and asking for some help finding a good foundation for you they have great employees and a great return policy if you get home and don't like the foundation a few days later. You also will have an easier time finding a matching color since there are testers of everything. I recommend buying a higher end foundation because with a good foundation all your other products don't matter as much.0
