💗Hello, ladies!!!💗
💕 We've made it through the first month of 2020! For a lot of us, goals were set in January and healthy behaviors were put in place. Now is the time to buckle down and keep on working hard!
💕 Let's keep the momentum going and stay fired up! Feel free to share anything that has been working well for you or anything you were surprised or excited by last month.
🌷If you're new to this group, we post our weekly and monthly goals and provide support and motivation to each other as we share our triumphs and our struggles. This group is all about accountability.
🌷All are welcome and, if you think you belong here, you do! No matter how much you currently weigh or how you measure (or don't measure) your weight, we'd love to hear from you.
🌷Victories, both scale and non-scale, are great to hear about, but, conversely, we know that weight loss isn't all sunshine and roses. If you're going through a rough patch, please feel free to be honest and vent your heart out. The struggle is real and we're all here to support each other!
💗We've got this, ladies! Here's to a fantastic February!💗

Thank you @RavenStCloud for creating these monthly threads! They are helping so many of us!

Additional goal for the month: log as many things as possible in grams for the most accuracy. Get a work food scale.
Fitness goals for the month: Run at least 30 miles and lift weights more than twice. I don't like it as much as running, but I need to get it in.
Thanks @RavenStCloud for my new favorite corner of MFP!27 -
Hello! Just joined MFP 7 days ago. I'm in MN and it is cold. Too bad you can't shiver off the weight.

CW 217 (haven't weighed in yet)
GW 210 (for Feb)
Health issues put me back on this journey after a lifetime of struggling and finally getting comfortable in my skin - I am now back to where I started - counting, fretting and feeling held prisoner by my belly (I'm really not this much of a downer, just needed a moment).
READY to crush February27 -

I love this group and am ready to do this in February! We got this, ladies!21 -
April 2019 start weight: 397.7
Feb. 2020 start weight: 292
February goal: 286

I need to focus on sticking to my calorie goals and not going over! I allow it far too often, and it's definitely slowed down my progress. Even after all this time I feel like I still struggle with the basics, lmao. That's my main goal for the month, though!36 -
Here are my February goals!
weight down to 280 by 3/1.
Gym at least four days a week each week.
Bike up to 15 minutes by the end of the month
Overhead press to thirty pounds by the end of the month
Keep eating under 1479 calories, eating back exercise calories as needed.
Have a pair of size 16 pants and size L shirts in the closet for when I need them!21 -
Weekly Weigh In:
Original SW: 272
January SW: 255.5
February SW: 251
So, my goal was to lose 5lbs in January and I hit 4.5lbs, so I'll take it! I did notice that my clothes are fitting better and looser, but I do not have any measurements to go on. That is on my to-do list so I have something to compare my own results to. Kickboxing has been going really well, I love the energy I feel afterwards and just generally feeling so strong.
February goals:
-Continue attending ALL my kickboxing classes!
-Work on decreasing my sodium intake, this is something I really struggle with.
-Lose 4-5 pounds
-Incorporate more veggies/protein in my diet
Great job on everyone coming over from the January thread, seeing all your posts is so inspirational and motivating. I am currently just in the midst of a bad depression, but I'm trying. Sometimes you just have to force yourself to do things until it passes, which it will, it'll just take some time. I wish everyone the best of luck in February! If anyone here is new, please feel free to add me, I love having friends on my feed.27 -
Hi there! I've been following (lurking lol) for a while and am finally jumping in.
Height: 5'8"

End of January Weight: 232
February Goal Weight: 228

I began again for real last month, and this time my husband (who is the house cook) is also on board. It's made ALL the difference and is much more fun!20 -
HELLOOOO GROUP!!
SW (1/6): 201.4
CW (1/31): 199.2
1st GW: 190
UGW: 140
I found the new page!! YAY!! Goals for February... I want to add another day of exercise and make it 4x/wk, each workout being of 30+ minutes (if I can increase the time by 10 minutes, even better! ). Keep logging, but mostly make it a habit to not ignore the weekends. I need to not eat over my calories, so I aiming for this to happen less days than it did in January. I want to see if I can make it to 195 lbs. this month... although I know it's gonna be hard. Tomorrow, we celebrate my husband's birthday, then Valentine's (which has always been such a huge day for us ), and then it's also our wedding anniversary the week after that!! OMG... I just don't want these days to get in my way of losing weight.
Being part of this thread has really helped me keep going, even on days that I want to just forget about this. Thanks @RavenStCloud for this wonderful idea!!20 -
I have loved the January group so definitely in for February.
SW 250.6 1st Jan 2020
CW 236 31st Jan 2020
I’d like to lose 7 pounds in February.
10,000 steps every day.
Cut down to 1 Diet Coke.
Stay alcohol free.
(It’s my birthday, wedding anniversary and my beloved godmother is coming to visit so I know it’s going to be tougher!)29 -
Firing up all cylinders. Thank you @RavenStCloud for kicking us off every month.
**Height 5' 4"
SW: 216.8 (10/10/2019)
CW 1/31: 196.4
Feb GW: 192
GW: 150
Feb Goals: Cardio/elliptical 3/week
Strength and Yoga 3/week
Water 8c/day
So I did drop cardio down to three days from five. My body is a hot mess at the moment and I know the upcoming month will be crazy. Momma's preop appointments are rolling in. As of now that means two possibly three Nashville trips. Four if surgery gets scheduled for Feb. I do have new cardio goals of 30m sessions instead of 20m and upping the resistance one level. My strength goal is to move from 2 sets of 10 with my 3lbs to 3 sets of 10 with my 5lb kettles.
Great to see some new faces jumping in and all us oldies from before. Here's to a burning it up! 🔥

Welcome and welcome back, everyone!
Height: 5'6
SW: 272
CW: 200.6
February goal: 195
Ultimate goal: 150
I only lost 2 lbs all of January.
Probably shouldn't be too sad though because I did lose weight, proving that stuffing my face over the holidays was only a temporary setback.
Started doing Strong Lifts 5x5 a couple weeks ago and it seems to be going well. Surprisingly, I actually prefer weights to cardio.
My birthday is in just a little over 2 weeks. I'll be celebrating it at over 72 pounds lighter than my last birthday.
I can just barely lift that much now.34 -
Height: 5'11"
SW: 299.8lbs (1/1/20)
CW: 285.8 (1/31/20)
Feb GW: lose 8 pounds (for Kobe!), 277.8
GW: 199
Feb Goals:
1) Continued logging, keeping everything under 1800cals
2) logging 30 min of exercise at least 4 times a week via Apple Watch or MFP
I don't have any crazy cool new goals this month, really just trying to keep up what I have going. My main focus is exercise because I was able to lose 14lbs without doing much exercise but I can't expect that trend to continue. I weigh in on Wednesdays because that works best for me. Looking forward to updating everyone on my progress and hearing about everyone else's journey

This is all new to me. I just started this Sunday gone as my hubby purchased a treadmill for me. I’ve had 6 kids and no time or motivation to do anything for myself. I’m now super determined and in the mindset to lose weight.
For goals, I’m still trying to work things out in relation to diet and exercise. So I guess my goal will be to be more informed and to slowly up my fitness as I have zero fitness.
So excited to follow everyone’s progress.25 -
Hi Everybody! Glad to be here!! My first time checking in like this... but I LIKE IT!!

JANUARY ::: I learned two important things: 1) Having favourite foods less often makes me enjoy them more... and it’s really nice to enjoy things more. 2) ALSO I learned to interrupt the mindless habit of eating in the evening, by reminding myself that “THIS is THE behaviour I am wanting to change” and (since I’m a person of faith) I also took a moment to check in “upstairs”. I really appreciated taking a moment to get centered and I made better choices for my body
OK, FEBRUARY!!! My goals are: to take some “before” photos so I can see my progress. Hit the gym 3 times a week and invite people. Keep logging everything in my MFP Food Diary.
Have a great month everybody! It’s great to read all of your goals and motivations!!

I am new to MFP (again)! I originally started this account in 2013 and let it go! I restarted 12/29/2019.
NOW:
I'm 5'5"
SW: 255 lbs.
CW: 248 lbs.
GW: 200 lbs. (1st goal)
I am a mother of 3 and have been married 10 years, my youngest child is 6 months old. I have never participated in the forums of any of the weight loss programs that I have tried, and I think this will make a huge difference and will be a wonderful motivation to me this time around...I have decided it is time to do this right.32 -
Welcome I’m relatively new too, I’ve been here about a month. And yes it is nice to come back to this message boards. This is a great group! All the best!15

HEIGHT: 5’10

12/31 Weight: 238.6
01/31 Weight: 234.0
In January I shed 4.6 pounds and I am ecstatic! My goal since starting my journey has been to loose 1/2 a pound to 1 pound a month and I’m right on track.
While loosing weight is one of my primary goals (along with getting off blood pressure medication), I have been steadily working on my cardiovascular endurance and toning my body. I want to enjoy working out...not just for the sake of loosing weight but to enjoy this part of my journey for the rest of my life.
For me the motivation to work out directly affects my motivation to keep track of what I eat.
I look at the changes in my body and I! CAN! NOT! BELIEVE! IT! But I wanna make sure that I don’t continue to say “well..I’m tall so I look fine with this weight”. I have said that so many times to myself. Never again. I want to be healthy. The picture below (on the left) is the first time I tried on a pair of Lululemon tights because I actually bet the store manager that I could not fit there largest size. She proved me wrong AND GAVE ME THE PAIR OF TIGHTS! On the right is me now!!
While I would love to reach my goal of a normal BMI, at my recent doctors appointment my doctor said he believes 174 may not be good for my build😬 but he likes my approach which is comforting.
My goal is to be under 230 pounds by our trip to New Orleans in March.

Hi all!
I’ve been a member for awhile but never used it’s full potential of really ever fully used it to hold my self accountable. However, that changes when I stepped on the scale after being laid up from surgery and I saw a number I never imagined possible (270). So here I am. I’ve been going for about a week now and feel committed. I followed this forum before posting as I’m so ashamed, but I finally feel able to post!! Can’t wait to be apart of this 💝

I would love see Onderland by the end of this month but realistically I am aiming to hit it by March. The middle of April will mark a year of my journey here with MFP. I would love to have lost 100 lbs by then but even if I dont ,I am still really proud of how far I have come. That is a new feeling for me. 😊 I have you all to thank for being a part of my success. Without your support and encouragement I really dont think I would have stuck with this as long a I have. Reading your successes and struggles help me realize I am not alone in this and that makes such a difference! Off to work. Have a wonderful day!22 -
Happy February!

I had a good weight loss month despite having a few week struggle with flu/bad cold. February goals include adding exercise to the dietary changes I've made. Pondering on starting C25K, but I'm not sure if my bum hip will allow it. I'm hoping to get below 200 this month!14
