Hmmm Haven't thought about this for a while but when I bought this house. I installed a wireless video/audio security system. One weird thing I noticed was when I was in master bedroom. The security system would pick up (static) when people would walk between the cameras and the base stations. Then I noticed, sometimes late at night or sometimes while working in my office (empty house) the audio will pick up static like someone is walking back and forth between the camera and base station. But of course the camera motion sensors would pick up anyone in the house and I can see all the way down the hall to the door. I hear footsteps on the laminate in the kitchen but of course there's no-one here... Things crash to the floor in different rooms all the time. Other people have been in the house when this stuff happens as well. I don't believe in ghost and such but something's up around here.3

I don't believe in ghosts and such either but do feel there's an energy 'there', a connection somehow. I've never experienced any sightings(probably why I don't believe ), etc., but did write out a 'pennies from heaven' story on a different thread about decluttering and letting go of stuff and people, so if you have any inclination to read it, look it up. Or never mind, it follows.
But I have a story to share. It's long and I apologize but it's amazing and helps me believe....at least a little bit. It involved pennies. As I said, my sister and I were the ones left to clean out their home. My brother had nothing to do with it, but that's a whole other story. Anyways, I was there by myself one day, doing a bit of puttering around, found a pile of pennies on my dad's desk. So I piled it into the appropriate place. Then I switched to another room, in it was a scale where we'd weigh our dad every single a.m. Working in there, I found a penny on the floor beside it. Ok, whatever. Then I started clearing out an old cupboard and found some old photo albums and something of my grandfathers. I set it all out on a bed, then checked the cupboard again, and huh, another penny. I started to feel that feeling of something crawling on my neck. Just then my sister walked in to help me. I explained to her what I'd been finding and the old 'pennies from heaven' theory(which I'd never really believed in because well, no experience with other worldly type stuff). We started clearing out my dad's desk drawers, in there we found my other sister's birth cert./death cert. along with a picture of my own son who died when he was 9 mo. And......ready for it? More pennies. This was all happening within the same day. Last place we cleaned up that day was their closet shelves. On it were some purses my mom had. One was empty, the other had a penny, you know the ones where they cut a heart out of the middle? We couldn't believe it. It gave us indescribable shivers and joy. And still does to this day every time I look at those pennies. As much as we miss all those people not being here with us, we still feel their connection to us, our hearts and our lives.5 -
I insisted when I was little that my parent's house was haunted. Not necessarily malicious, but always a feeling of being watched, strange shadows being cast on windows on sunny days with no discernible thing to cast them or in unusual shapes (the shadow of a "moving" Abraham Lincoln type character occurred more than once). Time slips were also somewhat common in that area when I would go walking in the woods. Objects would get moved and shatter even though no one was anywhere near by and they were centered on their tables when last checked. Specific places my dog would not go. Cold drafts (but the house was old and built in the 70s). Also, apparently every house up until my folks built their house on that property burned to the ground, so yeah.. not a great track record.
To be honest, I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of paranormal experiences so I remain steadfastly in the "undecided, but require proof" category.

When I was about 14 or 15 I saw a medium. She told me straight away my dead grandmother is standing behind me taking care of me. No way on earth she knew I had a dead grandmother. Might sound odd but I 100% believe my dog is her reincarnated to show me more love. I feel blessed.2

I am haunted by this one shampoo bottle in my bathroom. I keep putting it away, but every time I go back in there it's in a different location.3

Then how would you explain these occurrences?0 -

For R & R we travel to various locales to stay in "Haunted Hotels" we have spent several days at The Stanley hotel in Estes Park, room 217, room 401... some "Off" things happened I guess. I also participated in a Ghost Hunt at the stanley with one of the members from "Ghost Adventures" of course we experienced things in the basement but was it real or the magic of modern technology? Have also stayed at The "Skirvin" in OKC and "The Adolphus" in Dallas. We really enjoy it...1

Maybe it's an apparition trying to tell you to wash your hair in the sink so it can do dastardly deeds? Or, perhaps it's someone trying to tell you what happened to them? Is it an old building you live in?
About the closest thing I've had happen to me personally was when i was visiting Old Town San Diego and went to the Cosmopolitan. there is a room there that is chilled by what they believe to be is the ghost. I felt the cold air move across the floor and the chair moved without anyone being near it. I couldn't find any cold air vents, so not quite sure what it was.1 -

I keep wanting to stay at the Skirvin, but my kids refuse. Plus, I heard they have bed bugs.0 -
I lived in an old four story house built in the 1800s for a summer. I heard someone walking around all the time. I was sitting on the couch which has a view to the main stairway. Heard something walk down the creaky stairs, the the front door open and close. I was the only one in the house besides my dog. She even got up and walked into the hallway to look. She didn't panic so neither did I. Another time my dog woke up from a dead sleep on the couch and ran into the kitchen. i then saw her ball come bouncing down the hallway, her chasing after it.3
