Just had an incredible woosh

After a 17 day flatline, I woke up this morning to discover there was 4.6 pounds less of me than the day before!

Normally I get these wooshes after a super hard core day of very low sodium, low carbs, low everything, and tons of water. But yesterday I ate:

Chicken tandoori with a big pile of rice and side of channa masala
Fairly massive piece of Lasagne with Texas garlic toast on the side
Snacks: Keebler cheese and peanut butter crackers, 2 2-packs of Dark Chocolate Milanos
Also I felt a little bad for shoveling all that not-superhealthy food in my face so I ate a banana haha

245 calories over goal, 1100 mg of sodium over my daily avg, and yet .... wooshhhhhhhhhhh !

Sometimes I really enjoy the randomness of it all.

I have similar things happen. Roast dinner Apple crumble and cream with 2 glasses of wine. At least 700 cals over. 2 pounds down.

Did a big poop before I weighed though. Not sure 2 pounds worth of poop. Sorry if tmi.

I also had this after an Apple Crumble. That must be the secret !

Apparently this can be caused by fat cells losing fat and rather than getting smaller, they absorb salt water to maintain their current size. Suddenly something happens to the body and they all lose the salt water at the same time.

Does anyone know the names of these two biological processes?
