well, I hadn't really thought about people enjoying them a bit too much but after one of the comments Ive just read I think I'll leave it and try and do a clothed one - even though underwear/swimwear definitely show off your body shape more than in clothes.

Oops that was me, I promise I'm not a miserable hater (whatever that means!) - I just wanted you to consider people may be drooling over you in your undies!

I know most MFP users are perfectly normal and wouldn't do that at all, but I am also aware that some people have had to remove their 'friends' because of unwanted attention.

If you are happy with all the people in your friends list seeing your pics then go for it :-)

haha - it wasn't you! it was a guy saying he thought we needed more underwear shots - kinda made me wonder if it was a good idea as some people might look at them for the wrong reasons!! xxx

As a warning, I saw a girl post progress pictures in a mix and match bikini, and people were all over her for being "inappropriate" because they thought it was chonies. If you have a thick skin, go for it! They're pictures of your success, be proud! I can't wait until the day I look good in my underwear!! :-) Just be prepared - there are people on all Internet message boards, MFP unfortunately included, who just seem to love getting their panties in a twist and going off on an anonymous moral tirade :-P

That completely depends on how cute the underwear in question are.

    Granny panties? Yes. I'm offended.

You could always do it in shorts and a sports bra or something so you're still showing what you're body looks like now and still be slightly covered up. I've seen a lot of the ladies doing it that way.

As long as they cover the same things as your bikini, I see no problem with it. I have pictures of myself in my underwear that I share with friends on a private forum, but since they're a bit more skimpy than the average bikini, I don't post them to a forum as public as MFP.

LOL - how many 'new friends requests' did that comment get you?

Thanks for your replies and opinions guys - slightly more worried now that it would be seen as something it isnt - but lets face it - underwear/bikini is the best way when you are a woman as it shows your true body shape - I guess for now I'll have to smile to myself at the difference! haha xxxxx

Plain bikini cut undies are fine but frilly, see through, or thongs are frowned upon.. by me. i dont know what the policy is though. I seen pic a few months ago where she covered her front with a hanging towel but left her butt exposed and used her hands to cover her breast. That was inappropriate.

VERY OFFENSIVE!!!! Bikini's cover less than underwear do, so I think that would be more appropriate.

Don't sweat it - wear what you want as long as you're wearing SOMETHING.

Id NEVER do that - thats almost pornographic! Mine is just a black bra - bit lacy but not see through and blue hotpant type knickers - not risqe in the slightest but Im very aware it looks like underwear......Notice how colour co-ordinated I am there!

If they are inside a post and label as such in the post title, I'm good. I DO NOT LIKE it when they are used as signature pictures! I get on this board from school. I do not need my fellow students seeing pictures of women in their undies on my computer screen.

Ive found an old picture of me in a bikini and a little while ago I took a photo before I got dressed to compare. Only thing is - it's an underwear shot and I'm dubious about posting it because it may be deemed offensive or incorrect - what are everyones views on this?

send it to me first and I will let you know. I'm a qualified MFP judge

LOL ... none! They must have looked at my 'before' photos in my profile first. ;)

    Offensive? No.
    Necessary? No.
Would I do it? No. Too many pervs out there.

BUT...as long as it fits in with MFP's terms/conditions, and you're ok with it, I wouldn't worry about offending people.

I'm not offended at all - but I would NEVER personally post photos of myself in underwear on the internet. I can just as easily show my weight loss progress in a pair of fitted yoga pants and a tank. The internet is a public place. I don't walk around WalMart in my panties, so why would I want to be immortalized online in them? LOL
