Adding bar code

Anyone know how to add a bar code for an unrecognized barcoded food, snack, etc?
I have manually added the item, (“Cuban Lunch” chocolate bar - a Canadian re-creation of an historical bar of the same name), with nutritional details, but cannot seem to figure out how to link the bar code to the item.

I believe if you scan an unlinked barcode you'll get the option to search for and choose a food to match it, which you can now that you've created the food. It's been a long time since I've found an unlinked food though so that may have changed since.0
