    Hello everyone! So glad I found this app and thread to inspire me and hopefully help inspire others on this journey. I need accountability. I was in my maintenance period for several years then....gained 40+lbs in a VERY short time.

    Hope y'all are seeing the results you were hoping for.
    Remember to not focus too much on the number you see on the scale, the scale doesn't tell you the full story. If you are exercising hard, lifting, playing sports, etc. you could be putting on muscle. It is best to use the scale in conjunction with a measuring tape. I do recommend a ribbon or cloth tape measure over a metal one. :smiley:
    Together the two tell a better story and you can even track it on your profile.
    I measure my waistline, neck, chest, biceps, forearms, thighs and calves. The main thing for most people to track are the neck and waist, the ladies may also want to measure their hips, as the hips don't lie. :lol:

    My name is Donna. I am 59 years young, 5’ 5” tall and from the Midwest.

    I will also be weighing on the 1st and last day of the month for a full monthly account.


    Original starting weight – 253.0
    February starting weight (based on final weight on Jan 31st)– 191.6
    February goal – 189.6
    Ultimate goal – 145.0 – 155.0 (We’ll see how I look and feel when I get there)

    February 08 - 192.0 I started my new plan in order to figure out what is going on with my glucose numbers. Watching calories more than carbs this time (glucose has been running too low!). Today and yesterday found my glucose too high so I will continue to tweak to see if I can come up with a good weight loss plan without hurting my T2D efforts. I am down 0.1 from yesterday which I will call a normal fluctuation.


    February 15 - 194.8 Experiments don’t work when things keep getting in the way. Uggg. Valentine’s day was wonderful and I appreciated all the surprises from my adult kids, but it didn’t help my cause. Back at it today!
    February 22 - 195.0 My weight went up after travel this past week and some glucose issues, but is slowly working its way back down. At a snail’s pace, but in the right direction.

    I am happy to report that I exceeded my monthly goal by three pounds.

    If this thread continues for next month here are my goals.

    1.5 pounds a week for a total of six pounds for the month of March.

    After being all over the place with my weight this month, I reached the weight that I had at the start of it. I don't think I will reach my goal by tomorrow so will try again in March.
