I bought one of their Goretex jackets 12 (?) years ago. Even back then it was stupidly expensive. I've worn it like crazy (skiing, hiking, rock climbing, backpacking, while making camp in July to keep the mosquitoes from biting me) and it's treated me incredibly well. It looks like brand new, you can't even see any damage from more than a decade of pack staps.
It tore. I think it's my fault. I brought it to the store, told them I think it's my fault, and that I wanted to see if it could be repaired. They told me it's not my fault and apologized.
I just got an email saying they want to know what color and size I want the replacement to be, and that I have the option to replace it with a different jacket if I prefer. They're even going to cover the shipping.
