How’s your Gym Looking?

Mine was very comfortable, and there was plenty of social distancing opportunities to be had. I wished it was like that more often! If they close it for Covid-19, I’ll be forced to jog outside. Oh, well.

My small, 24/7 fitness center is located in my apt complex... no one there but me for almost 2-wks, when it's normally filled to capacity at all times. I only use the treadmill & wipe it down with an antibacterial towelette before & after.
Same as you, Jesse... if it closes down (management disbanded with maintenance calls over 1-wk ago save for a small list of emergencies & only if no one in the household has been coughing/feverish for 2-wks), I'll just walk outside. Although, I'm in Tampa & it's high 80s with very low humidity now, so beautiful... I probably should be walking outside before the humidity hits in a few wks. I just like the steep incline adjustment on the treadmill... it seems to have quickly alleviated all the pain I had in my low back.
I'll continue to go, if alone... if others are there, due to the small size, I'll just walk outdoors on the sidewalks. Bonus is I'll get a bit of much needed sunshine.
OTOH, our pool area is crammed with at least 6-10 kids & adults, daily... usually up to 4 in the pool & people sunning or reading in the shade under the cabanas.0 -
Gym still open here in my small town in BC, Canada. About 75% less people now. Everyone keeps it clean. I'll keep going until they close...if they do.0

Mine just closed down today!0

Sunday: "There's no way we're going to close. Don't worry; it ain't going to happen."
Monday: "We're closing our doors until April 1st."
No worries. I'm just working out at home.
I'll probably end up doing a lot more cardio at home and outside than if I was going to the gym everyday.

Thanks! I am Canadian, and have been on a bit of a Rush kick since Peart passed away. I recently discovered dozens of glorious tunes!0 -

Mine closed yesterday until April 1 for sure. Very sad day. I wish this would all go away and we could get back to our gyms.1

No change, as it is in my basement.2

Was open last night. Parking lot looked normal. I didn’t go inside.1

Ours shut down today, officially. It's a good thing I like long walks outside. Many people on base are groaning as they rely on the gym for their exercise needs.1

My gym is officially closed. Wish I didn’t give my weights to my brother. Oh well, more important things to worry about.1

My gym is still open. It's a Youfit and even before this whole pandemic, it's the cleanest gym I've ever been in. They are cleaning constantly. I have been going every night just like I normally do. Usually when I go after 9pm there is maybe 10 people there and that hasn't changed.
They did put a thermometer sensor thingy up to my head yesterday before letting me work out. They said they had turned away a guy earlier that came up as 102.1 -
It's closing end of day today, but my living room "gym" looks like a disaster zone after my 7 year old made a pillow fort this morning.3

It’s pretty sparse at my gym. It’s not the cleanest place but I wipe down everything before and after. I’m in the 4th week of my 6 week mini bulk and I really hope my gym stays open for the next two weeks at least. If not, my husband and I are prepared to do prison style workouts with towels and sandbags. 👍🏽1

The gym was looking pretty good this morning. Second day in a row she wore the white tights and you could kinda see.. I think I'm reading this thread wrong0

I drove by my gym today to see if I could maybe break-in thru the back door (no luck).
It would have been great to have the entire place to myself without the risk of anyone (me) getting infected by this stupid virus.
How's it looking ?

Stay the *kitten* inside your houses so the infection spread curve flattens. This is really irresponsible behavior to keep going out. Number of cases in the US have crossed 6000. It will be 15,000 or more by end of March.
People need to take social distancing and quarantine seriously. The more selfish you are, the longer there will be a shutdown, economy down the crapper and you will have the national guard forcing you to stay indoors2 -

Yeah, I went out today and put fuel in my car, walked across the parking lot into Safeway (without touching anything or anybody) for three minutes & walked back to my car.
I opened the sunroof and took a 10 minute drive around some businesses.
