  • That sounds aweful! But I will be looking forward to becoming more flexible. My boyfriend does Wii yoga all the time and he is 6"3 of course is super flexible and can do all the moves but I cant  It drives me crazy that he can pig out and then just lift weights 3 days a week and be in really good shape, where as I have to work so hard :grumble: Ahhh well!

My least favorite video of P90x is core syn. I cannot do those hip lifts if my life depended on it!

Are you talking about the Dreya Rolls? Those are my most hated moves!!! I can't seem to get my feet close enough to my rear end when I try to get back up... I always end up getting stuck!!!
  • HAHA i know what you are talking about! I have to put my hands down to get up on those, but I kinda like them

I am talking about the one where you are laying on the ground on your side, you have your elbow on the ground and you are supposed to raise your hips but you can only use that one arm to steady yourself. It is supposed to work your sides and your hips. I absolutely cannot do it! It is so frustrating :noway:

Ariella -- your food choices seem great, I just don't know why you're always under on cals. My only thing would be to change breakfast a little, but that's just cuz I get up way too early and don't get lunch until about 1 in the afternoon. I usually have an egg and some turkey bacon, sometimes with some wheat toast. So by the time I get my coffee (yes with lots of yummy creamer), my breakfast is around 300-350 cals. I've found that it really gives me a jump start (since I am sooooo not a morning person, but my hubby and now the child both are) and I'm not nearly as hungry throughout the day. Just a thought. I think you are an enigma. I just don't know what to do with you.

sorry for the late response. adding to breakfast will be a challenge cause i never ate it before im just thrilled i can get the cereal down ( i get such a stomache after so this is an improvment for me baby steps  oh and i dont drink coffee anymore (not since college) im glad u think my food choises are good i know u were worried about that cause im under calories. maybe i am an enigma just dont get rid of me  you will figure out what to do with me if not just love me lol :smooched:
  • Pep maybe try adding in an extra snack. What I do if im on the go is eat almonds. A fourth of a cup is 160 cals and a great source of protein!
  • Hello everyone!
It's a little later than normal, but it was another interesting day. Not too busy, just seemed to fly by. I felt like I was still trying to wake up all day long. Between baby getting up once last night and hubby to go check cows (he doesn't have a quiet bone in his body, plus he can't even find his own pants without me) I didn't get much sleep. I took today off from exercise, normally I take Sundays off, but today seemed better. No rest for the weary:wink: Still no more babies, I think those wenches are holding out for snow. Of course they can't spit them out when it's nice out, no, never. That would make too much sense.
Glad to see everyone is still doing good. I'll try to check in again when I'm not so much of a zombie:laugh:  Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Don't give up, Ari... You know that you're fueling your body by giving it good food, but maybe you just need to find some more calorie-dense choices. Peanut butter is a great choice, but what other kinds of protein are you getting in your diet? Also, since you are having a hard time with calories, maybe instead of using fat-free milk when you eat cereal, you should get something a little higher, like 2% or full fat? That would also increase your calorie intake, but you would be having the same exact portion size as usual... I know how much you love your banana nut cheerios!!!
  • Good morning everyone!
Another baby this morning. Stupid cow had her in one of the few snow banks and the wind was howling. We found her at about 5:30, and brought her up to the barn, so she's doing good. She's not a calf-sicle any more:laugh: I'm hoping for a half lazy day today, but we shall see!!

awwww i love you called me ari  protein so not my problem  i eat tons of fish and chicken through out the day usually for lunch and breakfast. and the occasional meat and i eat a lot of morning star farms products which have loads of protein. yeah so besides peanut butter which i never even thought as protein lol i eat chicken fish (salmon tuna lox my favorite food which i dont eat so much sushi, sashimi love all fish) roast chicken grilled chicken so much fish and chicken. i actually gave up cheese this week im only gonna do it for 2 weeks possibly a month but no longer i love cheese i want to see if that makes a difference. but def not for life sushi and cheese are my favs ( i was only eating cheese every 2 days so it wasnt a problem but any salt i eat shows on my face and i think the scale so its an experiment) milk wise i actually am having %1 fat free milk so its not too bad i do love me my banana nut cheerios and its helping me eat breakfast which was a huge struggle for me still is but i am eating it. keep the tips coming so helpful and feel loved.

kacee if my dad heard u talking about cows baby cows all cows he would want one i swear its like he wasnt born a city boy congrats on the calf.

i had such a challenge last night i went out with my girls and it usually consists of drinking and junk food (more of stay in watch movie type thing) this is the first time we have done this since ive started my new way of life (see i didnt say diet :blushing: ) i have one friend who i love but shes very heavy and likes me to be the same u know lets all be in hell together type who unconciously (or conciously) tries to sabotage my diet. Well i am very proud to announce that i did not have any alcohal nothing not even a sip (i have elected friday nights my one night i can have a drink and its one drink with dinner and my mother a former bartender makes it for me but after a long week at a mental health clinic i need it) so no drink and no food i stuck with low cal popcorn and i got them to play wii fit after the movie so we could excercise and for the first time doing it damn that thing is hard (yoga soccer balance oh my)

so that was my weekend avoiding temptation and over a 45 minute walk yesterday and i shall do the same later today but its sun so a little lazy today (oh and its snowing lightly )

    hope everyone else doing good.

    xoxo

My hubby grew up right down the road from a dairy farm.. I used to think he was being a stinker when he said that cows were dumb animals, and then I actually spent a little time around them!!!

Most people who come to Alaska think that moose are so cute:sick: , but I can't stand the darn things... People get into car accidents all the time(imagine hitting a deer, but it being about 10 times bigger...), my kids were almost trampled by one that was in our yard, and I actually had a dog that was getting kicked at by a moose when I was a kid. They are cute when they're babies, too.

It is so crazy so it was 9:30 pm and I think 7:30 am my time. I didn't think you had gone anywhere. I am amazed at how many posts you have. DO you post on a bunch of different threads? I tried that in the begining and I am not very good at that. I also tried to post in the Stay at home mom's thread and they all ignored me and made me feel left out. So I stick with our group! I swear I make the best friends on the computer. So you ever gonna put up any new pics? I am sure those 13 lbs are showing! Well I have to get ready and pick my daughter up from school. I am sure some of you are waking up right now as I speak! Have a great Monday everyone!

Sorry I haven't been talking much. I actually haven't been on at all this weekend. We had to have surgery on the little puppy that I got my wife for Christmas and I haven't left the house all weekend because we just got her back on Friday and I haven't been able to do anything this weekend. On Friday when she first came home I didn't get to sleep until about 3:30 and wound up having to wake up again at 5:45. That's how my whole weekend went. So forgive me for not being a good team member!

so as many of you may or may not know NYC has just gotten its biggest snow storm this year (although technically it should be since 2007) beautiful glorious huge snow flakes (hopefully my mother wont read this cause she likes snow but is not as enthusiastic as i am...anyway its still is snowing (since yesterday morning and im so happy

but i do have to take my walk (and no one has shoveled so its gonna be an uphill treck in the snow so calorie wise no clue what im burning today) then i also volunteered to shovel for my house more workout :drinker: to say the least my dad looked shocked at my request....

hope all is well with puppies and cows and kids and pregnant wives and laziness and life and breath

Hellooooo, I'm still here, just been out with my 3 year old and ear infections and my 4 month old who has had RSV for almost a week. No sleep equals no exercise or computer time!! As soon as they start getting better and I know I won't pass out on the gazelle from lack of sleep then I'll start up again.

  • Hello Everybody!
Well yesterday wasn't exactly as lazy as I was hoping for. We had a total of 3 calves, one momma had twins, but one didn't make it -- he was still born (he would have been 4). Then another one this morning. I got a work-out this morning chasin the little buggers around to tag and vaccinate them. Picking up a squaking, wiggling, bawling 85 pound calf isn't easy. :noway: Jillian didn't prepare me for that. (especially when momma isn't very happy so you have to hurry up and throw the calf on your horse and then get your own fat butt up there) It wasn't pretty and without hubby's help it would have been impossible:noway: . As exhausting as it is, I do enjoy it.
Ariella -- I thought about you this morning when they were giving snow totals on the news. Glad the snow didn't slow you down!!
    Kristi -- nice pic:happy:

Good luck to everyone on the weigh-in tomorrow!!

Hey I guess we will be getting a new thread here soon. I went to my personal trainer today. It had been 6 months since she did her initial evaluation. The scary thing is I had gained 10 lbs since she did that eval. Anyway I had improved in all areas. I lost weight, my body fat percentage went down 10 %, I was able to do more push ups and sit ups, I was more flexable and even was not breathing super heavy after a 3 min step test! I was just so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway Happy Tuesday and see you on the new thread later to post my weight loss.

Congrats....Those kind of accomplishments really make it feel like all the pain and suffering and sacrifice are worth it! Keep it up....I should be starting back to working out tonight, I'm beginning to let you get too big of a lead on me Thompsons and I gotta pick it up! Good luck tomorrow to everyone!
