    Motivation is a fleeting thing, discipline and habit is much more important in the long term. Just build good habits gradually: logging everything you eat, staying within your calorie goal...

    Ditto what @Lietchi said. People look at others and say I could never do that. When really they can. Unless is medical....

    One day at a time, one goal at a time. Realistic achievable and measurable is key.
