Round 110
Please join us! Starting on 04/10 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 110
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

I' m in! Thank you, @GrandmaJackie!
70 year old female...5'5" ...I used to be 5'7" but arthritis hit and I lost two inches, so now that two inches is squished around my waist like the billows of a big accordion... ...Oh, well. I'll just keep working on it.
We used to walk 5 miles a day. A pinched nerve and back surgery side-lined me for about a year. Then I had back surgery. Then I had hip surgery March 10th. Recovery is slow. Sure do want to be back walking!
The Shelter in Place has everyone freaked. We need to remain calm and respectful of each other.

Thanks @GrandmaJackie
Looking forward:
I'm just too danged cussed to let this thing knock me back, and ruin all the effort I have put in to get here. I am stepping up my routine, and taking control. Sheltering in place means I can fully concentrate on getting in my exercise, and preparing healthy food.
- April: focus on maintaining and increasing my progress
- 2020: Goal is to stabilise weight around 145
- Strengthen strategies to reframe the tendency to use unhealthy snack food as a reward/treat.
- Make sure I have prepared healthy snacks available
- Cut down on eating between meals
Never give up! Never give in!
Back Story:2018 goal: get back down to 160 ✅2020
2019 goal: proceed down to 150 ✅ with 2 months to spare
2020 goal: maintain below 150 dropping slowly down to 145 ✅ So far, so good.
That's a WIN in my book!
Focus: maintenance! I might even manage to lose a bit more ever so slowly.

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieving permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

Not been around for a while (since last year in fact!)
Thank you @GrandmaJackie for keeping this going - this group is fab and lovely to see so many familiar people on here and a whole new intake too!
Live in the UK - aged 48 (for a bit longer)
Been so busy with house renovations, then December, a trip to Disney and Christmas and a lot of socialising involving way too much food and drink and just not got my head back in it since then. Can feel my clothes getting tighter and the arrival of the nice weather made me realise my shorts from last summer don't fit great either! Want to get back to last summers goal weight.....
And now of course we're stuck at home But I am working from home as normal (in fact more hours than ever - CFO for an IT Support company supporting a lot of large London schools and pharma companies), hubby is working away at the minute (a Key worker working for GE dealing with power station generators so have to keep the power on!) so here with my daughters (aged 12 and 17) on my own trying to also find time to help them with their school and college work and also look after and help my parents who are in self isolation due to underlying health conditions (COPD and a history of strokes and pleurisy) so time for me is hard to find at the minute. Also worry about my daughter-in-law who is a nurse at Guys and St Thomas' in London and ventilator trained so in the thick of it....
So I decided enough is enough and that I need to find a bit of time for me, get re-focused and this group is a fab way to ensure I do!! No evening commitments at the minute so have time to focus on healthy evening meals.
Weighed yesterday and am back on it. Counting this as round 1 for me and not carrying from my old history.
Goal for the round is to stay focused, get back to daily weighing, do my PT workouts at least 3 times this week as well as a walk outside when I can.
Round goal - to lose around 5lb so down to about 150 (sounds a lot but first round back on it so should see quite a bit of bloat and water going!) .....
04/06 - 155.0lb Oh well not great but I'm back and on it again.
04/07 - 153.8lb (-1.2lb) One day of focus and progress already Did the daily workout my PT is posting up each day on the Facebook group and ache this morning (haven't been able to go the gym for three weeks now!) Then also did a 4 mile round trip walk to my parents to drop off a few bits for them. So a good start. On to tomorrow....
