Is it possible to gain 5 pounds in a weekend? I was 129 on Thursday and this morning I’m 134. I 100% overate over the weekend between Easter candy, dinner and deserts. But 5 whole pounds?! 😩😩😩

To gain a lb of fat you need to eat 3,500 Calories over and above your maintenance Calories.

Your maintenance, not your weight loss target, Calories.

That would be a lot of Easter candy or a flabbergasting amount of ham!

So yes, you can gain 5 lbs overnight, because you've done it; but, it isn't 5 lbs of fat --and it will never be mostly fat whenever your weight fluctuates so much so fast.

Over the next few days most of the five lbs will fluctuate away.

    Ask yourself 5lbs of what.....

Clearly you know it's not 5lbs of fat unless you ate c. 17,500 above your maintenance calories.

5 pound mean 17500 did you eat that amount
    I doubt that
May be water weight or food weight
