Fitbit Charge 3 - step counter working accurately?

My charge 2 is slowly getting battery problems, and the coming of the new Charge 4 might be a good opportunity to get a cheap Charge 3. However, I see masses of reviews that the Charge 3 counts steps when you drive in car/bus/train, move while sleeping and type on a keyboard. My Charge 2 is pretty accurate in that respect. Can anyone share your step counting experience with this Charge 3 please? Only please comment if you've really looked at this.

I have a charge 3, I have never had any issues with it counting steps I haven’t taken, my partner has confirmed that I do sleep walk so steps taken over night do happen, mine is over a year old now and is worn everyday other than when I’m in work, I am looking at the new charge 4 which will be better for me in a way but I do like my charge 3

treat yourself, the 4 has good reviews. It'll last several years....good investment.

I want to see experience of people first as I generally don't buy devices when they come out. Too many bugs. Plus I first want to see if google *kitten* can be integrated into it. That's an absolute no for me.

Cool! I love to read positive experiences as people are so much more inclined to write about a product when they're not happy. Thanks a lot.

I think my step count is quite accurate overall. I will pick up a few extra steps with changing gears and going on bumpy roads while driving but this is counterbalanced by the steps it doesn't recognise when I am pottering around the house.
