Peri-menopausal

Hi all ladies over 40! I’m seeking motivation, inspiration and help to get rid of body weight and lingering belly fat due to peri-menopause and wonder if you can tell me what had worked for you. No matter what I do nothing seems to work and it’s so frustrating and disheartening.

    Rigorous calorie counting and changing your food choices. I adopted a “do better” for food choices. So if I want pizza I can do better and get a small frozen cauliflower crust pizza. I can make a point to center my meals around veggies (not fried) and not fatty yummy meats. Get some deliberate activity daily. And of course, you might have some routine blood work done to rule out thyroid or blood sugar, and check hormone levels.

    I’ve gained 8 pounds in the last 2 months, just being lazy and eating stupid. I’m 50 and think my biology is my enemy! But it can be managed. I opted for the hormone pellet replacement to help with energy and other menopausal symptoms.

    My go to for weight control is soup. You can make a low calorie veggie one and it’s hydrating, healthy and filling. Good luck! Don’t give up!

    You can also go for medical intervention with something like cool sculpting if you wanted. I’ve done it twice. It is expensive though. Problem is I always find one more spot I want done!

    I am almost 46 and going through this same thing. Its a struggle dealing with the affects of perimenopause but I am ready to take my life back...Lord knows I have felt like a diff person lately...

    We can do this, 1 step 1 day at a time. 🤗😊
