@happysquidmuffin well done, you’ve done a fantastic job 👏 Very inspiring 🤗 Definitely keep us updated with your progress.
I hope you don’t mind me sharing my story too. I had my baby almost 10 months ago and in February this year, 3 months postpartum, I weighed 184lbs. I felt so disgusted with myself. My belly was still huge, my thighs rubbed together, my fingers had gotten huge and my face was so chubby. The list goes on. It was in February that I decided to do something about it. Over the past 7 months I’ve managed to lose around 45lbs and I have another 11 lbs to go until I reach my GW. I feel so much healthier, fitter and confident.

Thank you for sharing your story and photos! Truly inspiring! I will continue posting updates for sure. Hopefully some other moms out there will take heart that it can be done as long as you want it bad enough and are willing to put in the effort. It’s a long journey, but it’s also a lifestyle change.
And it’s worth it!!!6 -
Hi,
My baby is 11 weeks old.
I gained around 50 pounds during this pregnancy.
Went in to give birth at 190, end of June.
I am really watching what I'm eating and limiting calorie intake, even though I'm EB. My baby is thank G-d still gaining and happy (most of the time!).
I now weigh 171. I'm trying to get back to 140. I'll be happy if i weigh 150 when baby is 8 months old... that's what I weighed with previous baby.
I need to try to fit exercise into my schedule... I work part time, and when I'm not working, baby and 2 year old are home with me. I only have a single stroller, which means that when I walk, it's at the speed of a 2 year old... S-l-o-w...
I've been okay with my limited caloric intake so far. What should I be concerned about? I'm asking sincerely.
(With my other babies, I didn't watch my diet so much, but then again, I hadn't gained so much. And I wasn't working. I want to have nice clothes for work and look put-together... without buying too many at this weight.)1 -

It is so hard working with two babies, isn’t it? And add breastfeeding and trying to lose weight on top of that... you’re doing great I’m sure! I am sorry nobody responded to you sooner.
How are things going for you now? For me, I continued to take a multivitamin now and then, and made sure I was still eating enough variety to get good nutrition to keep my milk production going. Unfortunately, when I went back to work fulltime (just over 4 weeks ago) I kept missing pump times almost every day and within 2 weeks my production was shot. About the same time, my wee one decided to stop nursing. Now I’m basically dried up, just pumping once a day or every other day.
Saturday the 26th was 20 weeks postpartum for me. I wanted to nurse for 6 months (made it to 4.5)... oh well 😔 At least I did it for as long as I did!

Well here’s an update on my weight loss! As I just posted, unfortunately nursing and pumping are done for me. But I have now lost 45.5 lb total, and finally broke out of the 160’s today! 159.5 baby!

It’s been a while... but here’s an update!
I am now down to about 155/156 at 7.5 months postpartum. He’s a happy lil chubber and his big sister’s doing well too. Today I am wearing a black suit jacket which 3 months ago I couldn’t button... today I am wearing it buttoned.

Lol my trusty workout bottoms are too big now. I’ve had these for years and they are soft and comfy... but now they are saggy on me and loose at the top! Good thing I bought a new pair recently. Time to break them out and retire these.
I looked back thru my MFP history... and 151 lb is the lowest weight I’ve ever recorded in the over 5 years I’ve been on here! Just 11 more lb and I will be in the healthy BMI range. My goal was to hit 148 by the end of April, but I think I can do better than that. Slow, purposeful weight loss really works! Calories in vs. calories out, exercise a little more, move more throughout the day, and basically eat how the healthier, skinnier version of yourself would eat. It’s a lifestyle change, NOT a diet.8 -
So inspirational!1

Checking in here May 15th, after some rough months emotionally due to Covid19. I ate terribly for about three weeks, and at the end of March I was all the way back up to 156. It was a rocky road getting back on track and re-committing to my good habits, but today I finally broke through 150.5 (which I’d hit 5 different days but couldn’t get lower) when I weighed in at 150 this morning.
55 lb lost now total. I know that’s not much lower than my last check in, but I’m proud of it. I am down 7 lb from January 1st. My new belts that I used to wear on the 4th hole... Now have been on the 6th hole for some time, and yesterday I used the 7th. Here’s looking forward to the 140’s!7 -
147.5 lb this morning and wearing my size 8 capris from HIGH SCHOOL and early college years. My wee one is about two weeks shy of his first birthday. Loving the 140’s. 🥰🥳 I am going to take a break from tight calorie counting for a while and just log a good guess after I eat what I want. Here’s hoping I’ve established my good habits enough that I can continue losing a little or maintain between 147-149.5. 👏🏻10 -
8 weeks later: 147. I’ve essentially maintained, but I hit a new low of 146.5 briefly, before bouncing back up to 149. It took getting back to stricter logging to start losing again. I guess you have to be relentless in doing what you know works for you, if you want to succeed. Haha by coincidence, I’m wearing the same Raptor shirt today.
I had to replace all my size 12 pants work, as they are so baggy and make me look dumpy and sloppy now. Thankfully I found 3 nice replacement pairs in 3 different colors. 2 are size 8, and one is a 10. It was the only one left in that brand in that color and it was on clearance, so I was willing to make it work. I know women’s sizes are stupidly random and arbitrary, but it’s nice to be a size 8 again. Stay focused, pals.3 -
You are really inspiring!0

145 lb - 60 lb lost today. Look how bumpy my journey was over the last 6 months! Imagine if I had given up in frustration after any of those mini-peaks...

I know this thread is kind of dead, but it's MINE, so I just wanted to come back and say I weigh 143, baby! I gained about 9 lb from Sept to Dec '21, which really annoyed me, but I have basically lost that again in the past 3-4 months. The lowest I have seen recently is 142. By the end of August, I plan to finally break past the barrier of 140lb and see the 130's again. Don't wish me luck, wish me PERSEVERANCE and DISCIPLINE!9
