No weight loss this week :/

If anyone has a spare few minutes today would you mind looking at my diary? I didnt lose any weight this week and I'm not sure why. I'm not on my period, I log accurately with a digi food scale and weigh every bite, I excersise and wear a Fitbit but never eat back the full calorie adjustment so I doubt it's that.
Any insight would be great or is it just an off week? Feeling a bit deflated as I've worked hard

You weigh weekly?
Weight loss isn't linear, sometimes you weigh in at the same weight, or even a higher weight. If the general trend (over 4 to 6 weeks) is downwards, you shouldn't worry.
Weight fluctuations are normal, due to all sorts of reasons: hormonal cycle (not necessarily only during TOM), change in exercise, changes in salt or carb intake,...
I weigh daily to better understand my fluctuations and overall trend. If you weigh weekly, your weigh-in day might be a high day or a low day, you don't know.9 -

No I weigh daily. But I've been the same weight every day for around 10 days1 -
Did you increase the amount of exercise you do? You could be retaining water weight.
Sometimes tho... it just takes time. Weightloss isnt linear.4 -
Diary is set to private so can’t comment on that specifically.
If you’re maintaining a calorie deficit, it’s likely water weight. Since the heat finally hit where I am, I’ve swelled up like Violet Beauregard and it’s showing on the scale. Sodium levels will also contribute, particularly if you aren’t drinking enough water.6 -

Exactly the same weight 10 days in a row? Maybe it’s the scale battery if so7 -
It's the EXACT SAME WEIGHT every day? Emphasis because that sounds weird to me even tho I only weigh once a week.
Along with weight loss not being linear, check the batteries in your scale. Just in case...4 -

Thanks I'll check. Yes exact same weight each day for over a week, but as far as I can see I'm staying in a decent deficit I'd of expected at least a pound off....3 -

I checked it again it is public but perhaps it needs to update or something. Not sure what else I can do, says public on my end sorry.0 -

I can view your diary.
If you are confident that you are in a calorie deficit - see no obvious reason why you wouldn't be even if size of that deficit may be variable - then just use the perspective that there are 4 weeks in a month and 52 weeks in a year and carry on.6 -

It is public, but you seem to be weighing everything, so not much to say (for me).
I presume your broccoli quiche is your own recipe?
The exact same weight every day is strange though. Have you tried weighing yourself with something heavy (for example a bottle of water) and then weighing again without the heavy object? That's how I weigh myself every morning, to avoid the 'fake consistency' that seems to be programmed in many scales.1 -

Thank you, yes anything that says just like "quiche" or "chilli" is my.own tecipie wich I weigh out and edit each ingredient each time i make it so it's still accurate, no guesses
Maybe I'll lose next week 🤷♀️4 -
I weigh weekly.
Some people weigh daily, some weekly - that isnt the issue.
Whether you weigh daily or weekly - weight loss is not linear.
Some days/weeks you wont lose - you might even gain a bit.
But your overall trend should be downward - ie more downs than ups and over time a steady decrease.
if you have been going well for a while ie at your expected pace (on average) and this week was the same as far as calorie intake goes - you dont need to do anything. Just carry on.3 -
It gets so frustrating when this happens but dont give in to those negative thoughts of "why am I even trying" or "what's the point" but remember it's better to maintain than to regain

Is it the week before your period? because that’s when I bloat and hold on to extra water weight.2
-
I once went 6 weeks with no change and then a kilo drop with a whoosh. It happens. I'd reset the scale and change the batteries but if that doesn't change anything and you are confident in your food logging and your exercise burns, give it time.7

This. My scale has a "memory". It will go back to the same weight as the day before all the time. "Oh, you again? Here's the figure I gave you yesterday. Now go away..."
If I take out the batteries and it resets, then I will get a "new" figure. So I just reset it every time I weigh.
I've been keeping a spreadsheet of my weight and calories for the last 3 months and I just checked it real quick. I haven't had the same weight for a streak longer than 3 days. I have a lot of 2 day streaks. So 10 days does sound more like a technological glitch. Chances of the human body being the exact same weight for 10 days is a long shot. Not impossible, but seems unlikely.7 -

Thank you for sharing. I'm going to try this. I too can go several days at the exact same weight.0 -
There are a zillion reasons that weight can fluctuate including the weather (not kidding).
Last week I lost 0 anything - despite being in a deficit and sticking to all of my workout and nutrition plan. It was 96 degrees all of a sudden for no reason (it had snowed 4 days before).
This week the temp was a reasonable 62 and miracle of all miracles-I was down 1.3 pounds (about 2 weeks of my overall average loss rate). Exactly the same deficit, workout and nutrition plan this week and last.
Evidently last week I was retaining some extra water to help cool myself and this week I wasn’t.
So in addition to hormones, salt/carbs, weight of food, sleep, change in activity level and aliens-weather can also affect weight (not fat-but weight).
But I would change the batteries or give the scale a whack or weigh something with a known weight (like a dumbbell or something) and see what’s up. It’s not impossible; but highly unusual to have exactly the same weight every day for 10 days.5 -
Really thanks everyone this is all really helpful. I had no idea scales did that! I'm.going to reset them before weighing tomorrow and see what happens.
So when I close off my diary for the day mfp is telling me I'm gonna be around 13.7 in 5 weeks....seriously doubt that if I'm still 14.11 and not budging! Something is up and without wanting to sound arrogant I'm flipping positive I'm logging as accurately as I possibley can, and take today for an example I'm.ending the day 900 calories under my target when fitibit adjustment is.taken into account. That's not the case every day some days I'm 100 under target or 200...but the point is I'm under by a fair amount, mfp is set to lose 2lbs a week so I should atleast be losing 1 lb a week when I'm.not even eating all of my activity adjustment back.
I'll update with what tomorrow says. X0 -

Well I was particularly active today , I'm not that far under every day. I've still had plenty to eat. My diary is open so you can see. I'm 30, female, 5 ft 4, 14 stone 11 so I have a lot to lose. Some days I eat more some days less but I never go over my allowance and fit bit adjusts it according to my activity.0 -

What activities are you doing to get that adjustment? Are you set to sedentary? Granted I'm a lot smaller than you, though the same height, and I started at the same weight that you are now. I run, a lot, and very rarely do I get calorie adjustments that high.
When did you last update your stats? It may well be that you have hit maintenance calories for your height. I'd suggest eating back only half your exercise calories. I know there are some issues lately with fitbit double dipping exercise. So if you log an exercise on fitbit, it doesn't send that seperately, it sends over exercise + total calories.0 -

I dont log excersise I just wear the Fitbit. I am set to sedentary yes. I dont excersise every day, today I just walked a lot. My stats are up to date because my scale is linked to Fitbit and to mfp, so my weight automatically updates. I've checked it and its correct. Not sure how my adjustment could be wrong but like I said I dont eat it all back because I dont have the need to, that's what i was demonstrating with the screen shots. I eat between 1300 and 1800 cals a day depending on hunger and activity, but theres always several hundred left over.3 -
Today ....looks fine to me.0 -
Okay those exercise calories are really high. I ran a 5K this morning and got 400 calories burned. You are 200%-250% of that. That might be why MFP is telling you that in 5 weeks you'll weigh X amount.1
