I officially hit 40 in May... my goal was to lose 40 pounds before I hit 40, but that didn't happen. I hate not being able to really play around with my kids - running, jumping, all that good stuff. Telling them to eat healthy and have fun - while I am eating my umpteenth snack for the day on the couch. Here I am again again again...3

Hey Kayla, no doubt this journey can be difficult. However, it's just work! Work in the gym and work in the kitchen. Looking at it that way is something I've accepted and embraced. This is really B3sha I somehow got locked out of my old account. Couldn’t remember my password or email address....stupid technology. 😣 I was soooo close to just giving up on MFP but I felt like I had been doing really good this time around and didn’t want this setback to end my momentum. Weekly goal check in!
Last week I wanted to work out every day including Sat and Sun and I did it! I’ll continue that this week too.
I also wanted to avoid late night snacking....but I didn’t do so good with that...but I had the calories for it so I guess it’s ok? This week I’m going to buckle down on the no snacks after 8! I have gum and my knitting to hopefully help with this. My former boss is due to have a baby in Sept and I want to finish a blanket for them. Can’t snack while knitting 🤣
Another goal is go to bed before midnight. I am such a night owl I usually don’t get to bed till 2 but this has to stop!

I could use some advice.. I can't seem to get enough calories in. I seem to fill up quickly..How can sneak my calories without more carbs

Yesterday was my first day back again......I did well but that was day 1, now entering day 2. Kudos to all of you for giving this a try and focusing on being healthy. Not easy to do anytime but especially in these uncertain times.

I’ve been here before, and I’ve even been on this app for a few months but not tracking very consistently or seeing progress. Today I’m recommitting to my health and MFP! Today is my youngest son's 16th birthday and my first day back on track. For YEARS, I have been so and so's wife or this one's mother. It is time to be me again. Time to put me first and time to take care of me because some day I would love to be "that little ones grandma".6

@frenchj1 do you like yogurt? I have been making myself a smoothie most days for breakfast and find I’m happily full till lunch. I add frozen fruit, yogurt and either fresh spinach or fresh kale to it. Was adding orange juice but recently switched to almond milk. Back before Covid I would buy protein powder in the bulk section of my grocery store and throw a scoop of that in too.

Hi Kayla_caroline and everyone else. I need to lose weight. I ate my way through today which would have been a good day to start but tomorrow is as good as any day! Note to self ‘stop making excuses and just do it’! This is my first time on the community bit so not sure how this works but please add me. If it is one thing I know about myself - I have to log my food or it is ridiculous what I "thought" I ate. And I do not find it hard, I just got out of the habit after dropping the Premium version of MFP. It is amazing what paying $50 does to the psyche to make you want to use the app!
