Calculating Macros

I was just curious about following the macro portion of MFP. I entered the information to calculate my daily macros and I had always heard that protein was the higher category. For me, it is carbs and wondered if I did something inaccurately. Thanks

Carbs are usually the highest category, unless someone is doing a low-carb or keto type diet. A pretty accepted macro split is 40% carbs, 30 % protein, 30% fats.1
