I've just heard that if you drink lots of water and do intermittent fasting..you can loose belly fat.
I thought that you had to loose fat from your entire body rather than target just one spot. Is this water /fasting thing true or just a myth.

You can't spot reduce where you lose weight. IF and drinking a lot of water might help with a calorie deficit, but it won't necessarily help you lose just belly fat.4

            It's a myth2

            Oh how I wish.3

I do neither. Just a myth.

Actually it may not be a myth a recent study shows intermittent fasting 16/8 had more fat loss than regular dieting with similar calories. I don’t know about belly fat though1

And ideally, recent studies that have equalized protein intake (because TEF), and are not self-reports of intake.5 -
I think just hard work and good diet will get rid of excess body fat all over not just Belly fat.2

Wishful thinking and a myth - just a small part of the diet industry pandering to the desire from people wanting to lose weight without having to eat a little less / move a little more.3

It makes me simmer that “belly fat” wasn’t even a thing until click-bait came along.
And now it’s a common term and a whole set of common myths.
Grrrrrrr. I cringe every time I see one of those assinine pop ups.2
