Am I considered Lightly Active or Active?

Hi,
I’m trying to see if anyone can help me determine my activity status. I do HIIT workouts in the morning for 30 minutes Monday through Friday. I also do 30 minutes of cardio (walking/jogging) in the afternoon Monday through Friday. I try to rest on weekends to let my body recover.
I also get no less than 10,000 steps a day.
Would this indicate lightly active or active?

To clarify, I get to eat those calories back because MFP already builds in a deficit depending on how much weight I want to lose, correct?

Yes, you can choose to eat those calories back. Or if you’re a piggie like I am, you need those exercise calories to help keep you in a deficit in the first place.

When you fill in your stats MFP estimates your BMR (what you would burn at total rest and in a fasted state).
You then tell it your activity level based on your job, home life, general moving about (but excluding purposeful exercise) which is used as a multiplier to your BMR.
That gives you an estimate for weight maintenance level calories for a day with no exercise.
And then you set your goal for what you want to happen to your weight. Based on 3,500 cals roughly equalling a pound of fat lost if you select "lose 1lb a week" your daily calorie goal gets reduced by 500/day.
If you are truly sedentary it really worth addressing that by building in more movement into your normal routine. Remember the same rules apply whatever activity level you are in that your calorie goal is plus exercise calories.
