Stay in a calorie deficit. Unfortunately there is no way to spot reduce fat, you body/genetics decides where you lose fat first.10

calorie deficit. you cant pick where the fat comes off.9 -
Be in a consistent calorie deficit over time, which means that you eat less calories in a day than your body burns.
Fat will come off of your belly, hips and thighs as well as the rest of the places on your body where fat is stored. Unfortunately, you cannot decide or control where, when or how much comes off which areas - that's up to genetics. Nor can you spare certain parts that you might like to remain plump, like your breasts or butt, for example.6 -
Unfortunately you can't spot reduce but if you have excess weight, as you lose it you'll start to see improvements everywhere. If you're already at a healthy/lower weight, then recomp may be a good option for you.6

Hi ya. It’s my first day here. I’ve been having the same question in my head for a while now and thanks for confirming the answer (although I knew it by heart). It’s just a matter of getting the reaffirmations every now and then to keep me in track. It’s pretty easy to loose confidence in what I’m doing when the results start to get slow. So thanks for the reminder.7

I have one of those pear figures, too. Even when I was a normal weight I was bottom heavy, two sizes bigger on the bottom than on top. It’s genetics. Some spot exercises can help some.1

While there is no way to choose where the fat leaves our body from, you can do exercises that target those specific areas.1

Reduce carbohydrate intake and start a weight lifting routine0

You really mean, reduce your calorie intake and add some exercise. Lifting is great but is so finding something you enjoy that gets you moving everyday is great too.

Anyone who tells you that you can spot reduce is simply wrong. You can build muscle to help certain areas look better once the fat is gone.
I would LOVE to KEEP the fat in my chest. Sadly, that is always the first place I lose it. It’s genetics. Stay in a calorie deficit, work on recomp, and those trouble areas will eventually start to look better.3
