Over the last week, i have returned to dieting and trying to be better about eating proper, i get recommend to consume up to 3080 calories per day but for most of this week i have been averaging half of that each day is different what appears to be my high consume for the day, usually carbs or fat, but reguardless i should still see a weight loss if i'm eating about half the amount of calories i am suppose to be consuming, is this correct or am i setting myself up for failure, i had one day where i only ate 1200 calories and found myself the next day having a small pizza from papa johns (about 1000 calories for 4 slices) however the rest of that day i still ate good and count my calories and stayed about 800 under the 3080 amount is this something to avoid? or am i doing this correctly?

The goal is to have a deficit at the end of each week, if that goal is 2lbs per week, then as long as you have enough deficit to do so you will lose
However
Your eating habits are your own, how you choose to maintain sustainability and create a newer healthy lifestyle is up to you and your food choices are up to you.2 -
I mean of course i was just wondering if i'm having the right mind set to still lose but also have food that i enjoy ask well from time to time.0

I think you should eat more especially if your calorie goal is in the 3000s simply because you want to supply your body with energy to run, and as a male you should be eating above 1500 anyway.. but eating a variety of foods, including pizza is a good mind set0 -

I started over 300 pounds and the first thing I eliminated was soda, nothing else.
I lost 30 pounds. When the scale stopped moving, I found one other thing to remove. The key is not to throw your world upside down because you are setting yourself up to fail.
