I weigh 154 lbs. I'm bulking and trying to gain weight. Some days I get 200g of protein. Is that too much for my weight. Can it be damaging to the body?
I know I dont need that much, but I can end up getting that much.

What is your overall calorie goal? Are you meeting your other nutritional goals?

I dont really have a goal except for 2500 calories a day and at least 140g of protein. The rest is whatever it is.

I'm just wanting to know if get 200g protein whether thats detrimental to health in any way.

I am not sure how much protein is too much for 154 pounds, although I'm sure someone here will be able to provide some guidance on that.

My main concern with consuming 200 grams of protein on 2,500 a day would be that I wasn't getting enough of other things that I needed (fat, fiber, micronutrients). It may be worth paying attention to those other things, for a period of time, to ensure you're still meeting the rest of your dietary needs.

That leaves 1700 calories for all non-protein nutritional needs. If someone isn't meeting their non-protein nutritional needs on 1700 calories, it's not because they're also consuming 200 g of protein; it's because they're eating a sizeable proportion of non-nutritionally dense foods within the remaining 1700 calories.

It might cause some uncomfortable gas but if you are hydrated 200g is fine for your weight. I routinely eat 50g more protein than the 1g per pound of ideal body weight rule.

At 2500 cals/day 200g of protein is only ~32% or your intake so you should still be getting a pretty reasonably balanced intake and that wouldn't be enough to be encroaching on your other daily requirements.

Yeah, I didn't mean to sound too alarmist or like I thought it was improbable so thanks for providing that wider context.

Thanks for taking it in that spirit. I really did mean it as added context.
