    Getting ready to head to my sister's to give her respite. Her dh is in later stages of Alzheimer's and it's kicking her butt. :( Physically and emotionally. I'm trying to stay somewhat emotionally detached but it's not so easy at times. I'm so afraid of losing her in this process. She swears she will keep him home and care for him til the end.

    I'm very grateful that I was able to retire in May 2019 because he took a turn for the worst that June and I was able to step in and offer help in whatever way I could. Cleaning out a hoarder's home to make it a safe livable space is no easy feat.

    After my Monday a.m. weigh-in I'll determine if it's a good week to indulge in Ben and Jerry's or not. :)
