Where do I apply for the accent challenge? 😂

"...if I have one to y'all..."

Yes you certainly have the Florida southern accent.

    Lol, I guess!

As a European i have no idea about any of these accents you people talk about, but i can definatly hear different kind of accents, just no clue if it's southern, northern, eastern or western accent

Well, as a southerner, apparently I play the part just right... I love different accents. I think they're really cool!

FTW, never try to get rid of your 'accent'. It is who you are!
IMO, women (over generalising?) pick up new accents far more readily than men. I had an uncle who moved to the USA from the UK with his wife & young children. My aunt picked up the local accent (she's in Warwick, RI). My cousins are 'American'. My uncle never lost his 'British' accent (they are SO diverse!!!) right up until the time he died.

My brother lost his. He's 2 years younger than me and we've been in the US since we were kids. I lived most of my life feeling self conscious about it since my brother was able to get rid of his but I wasn't able to. I think part of it was that I've never really been a talker. Always been the quit, shy one all my life. I'm at point were I'm done trying to "fix" it. It's me 🙂

You may be generalizing, but it is true for my sister. She and her husband moved to Australia about 15 years ago and she has the Australian accent perfect. He is still very South African. When they come back to visit, she slips right back into the South African accent within a week. Then, when she visits our friends in UK, she has that accent too after about a week.

I speak Spanish. I don't normally speak it unless I'm around family. Even then, I'm not good at it. I do the whole spanglish thing lol

See, that's the problem! Don't listen to it. Never listen to it! Just post it and let the rest of the world deal with the fallout.

I'm not sure why because most of my family have typical Kent or West Country accents. Wondering if I was in fact raised by the BBC news channel.

and his voice used to be so much more majestic and deafening, but he had surgery last year and i think the anesthesia messed something up cause he came out sounding much higher pitched ever since.

on the plus side at least it's easier to record him now

He still sounds like a mighty boy
