Hi, I am a chronic pain sufferer so unable to exercise. My weight has only moved just short of a kilo in last 6 weeks. Just feeling hopeless. I am obese. 😪

Weight loss is caused by being in a calorie deficit. How are you tracking your food? Are you using a food scale?7

There are quite a few members here who have lost considerable weight via diet alone, without exercising.
I’m sure someone can direct you to a thread, or start one of your own.3 -
I don't use food scale. Just use search foods & Barcode.

Most of the entries are user entered, and there is a lot of errors. Packages might also be off as well. Be careful and vet the entries carefully before selecting. If you'd like open up your food diary.1 -
If you are obese it would be reasonable to lose 1 or more pounds per week. If you have lost only 2 pounds in 6 weeks, congrats on that. But to lose faster you need to eat less. If not using a food scale, it is hard to know how many calories you are taking in.
The easy immediate answer is to decrease your portions. For the long run, consider a food scale.6 -
Food scales are readily available at any big box retailer (Walmart, target, etc). You should really get one. I guarantee you it will be an eye opener. I’m sure you are unintentionally eating way more calories than you think you are.3
