My gf gives me crap for it but good ol Walmart's creme brulee ground coffee is good in my book. Vanilla iced latte from Starbucks. Like, how many coffee drinker points am I losing so far?
I like black coffee too but I want it to have a strong flavor without bitter being a dominant flavor. More often than not I add a decent amount of extra creamy oat milk or whatever milk is available.
  • We drink our coffee black and our palette varies.

We roast our own coffee beans. The beans are called Columbian Supremo. We roast them until they are a dark brown which gives the coffee a robust flavor.

When we don't roast our own, we buy 8 O'clock coffee (Columbia Peaks or French Roast), Dunkin' Donuts, or an organic breakfast blend.

i don't drink it too often, but i think the absolute best is death wish coffee, specifically the valhalla/odinforce blend.

i typically get the whole bean and grind it and do a cold brew thing in the fridge. then have it with ice and creamer over the next couple of days.

I usually go for latin american beans. HEB's cafe ole coffee is actually pretty good. I'm really into my strong brew over ice right now, shaken with protein powder.
When out, I like to get iced coffee or cold brew. DD...with mocha swirl. Sbux...mocha(maybe with peppermint) or sugar free vanilla with a pump of hazelnut. Or their sweet cream cold brew if being indulgent.

Dark roast coffee, I drink it black but it's better with whiskey.

Back when I could drink real coffee my all-time favourite was Second Cup's Paradiso Dark.

Now I can only drink sad decaf pseudo-coffee so I get decaf dark roast for the keurig.

Either way, I've taken my coffee black since my early 20s. Never roasted my own beans but I used to grind them fresh every day. I don't own a lot of kitchen appliances but I have two coffee grinders.

I gave up coffee a few years ago (as a statement, no one else "got" (or cared about!)) Was a dark roast black coffee drinker back in the day.
Recently I've discovered cold brew...game changer!

    I love this!

@iMago I've been looking on Amazon for a cold brew carafe/filter system, b/c I don't want to spend $5.50 every time I want a coffee, do you use one of them, or is there another way that doesn't involve disposable cheese cloth (not a fan of the idea, sounds like a pain)?

And for the record, cold brew tea is amazing too

I want my coffee the same way I like the womenz.

    Full-Bodied, Hot & Bitter

I'm bitter. But I considered it just extra baggage. Who knew it could be a desirable trait.

As far as coffee goes, what I prefer and what I drink are 2 different things. :/ I prefer coffees like Green Mountain, Starbucks, Dunkin. What I drink are more affordable brands such as Maxwell House and Folgers. With 1 sugar, 1 milk please.
