I am looking for some ideas to do with cabbage and salmon. I am tired of cooking them both the same way .

My favourite thing to do with cabbage.

For salmon I like roll your own hand rolls. Just lay out all the ingredients so people can roll their own at the table. If you are squeamish about eating raw salmon sear very briefly on a very hot pan so any surface bacteria is killed, leaving the inside raw.

Picture of the last time we did hand rolls at home. We just used crabsticks for California rolls, but seared sliced salmong would be good.

I have no idea how you're cooking it now, but I love roasted cabbage. You can do a simple mustard sauce if you really want to make it pop.1

I don't do much with cabbage, but usually it's a salad or sometimes rolls:
Asian Salad w/ Napa Cabbage (add uncooked, toasted ramen noodles for crunch): http://menumusings.blogspot.com/2013/05/grilled-ginger-sesame-chicken-salad.html?_sm_au_=iVVRH1b507107N4jMcHjQK3GpTpB0

Cabbage with fennel seed is good
Salmon - what about risotto? Or in a tomato sauce with pasta?1 -

A salmon fillet, on a couple of slices of lemon and a sprig of dill, topped with another slice of lemon and some dill plus a few dots of butter, baked in the oven, is lovely. Make a parcel in some foil, add a splash of water (or white wine) to ensure it retains moisture - and serve on mushroom rice with broccoli. It's a variation of this recipe that I use when cooking just for me: https://realfood.tesco.com/recipes/lemon-dill-and-bay-baked-salmon.html
Red cabbage with apples is a great side dish and it freezes well, so I cook the whole thing and freeze 5 or 6 portions. I tend to cut the apple into thinner slices than the chef probably intended and I don't add as much sugar as the recipe states: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/red-cabbage-apples
