I got home tonight and fancied something to eat, not hungry, just felt like eating something....
Well instead of the tempting chocolate biscuits I grabbed a tomato to munch on.....Darn nice it was too.24 -
My dog groomer greeted me with "You've lost weight!" I thanked her, and she came back with "No! You've REALLY lost weight!" I laughed. I was so happy to hear it. Last time I saw her 2 months ago.18

I'm wearing knee high boots. I haven't owned any in ages. Ever? Either way my calves were too fat for even wide calf boots. Since I bought these off Amazon I ordered wide calf to be safe and they not just fit, they have loads of room to spare. I'm doing my happy dance because while I hit my goal weight I have not hit my goal body and I've been a little worried I'm not going to be happy with my end results. So I'm telling myself I am loads better than I was a year ago and perfection was never my goal. Hopefully the chicken wings and apron shrink more but for now I'll rock the boots and be happy.23

I had to get in some more calories tonight and I opted for extra dinner salad with veggies and goat cheese. Split some tea buiscuits with my dog and am not in the proper range. Tomorrow I need to get more exercise to spur on my appetite earlier in the day.8

Self discipline is not my long suit, nor is consistency (understatements). Mostly, I keep active via on-water rowing, because I love it. I had not bern able to do it this year until recently (pandemic). My enjoyable twice weekly spin classes were also cancelled.
Earlier in summer, I finally told myself I needed to treat (less fun) workouts like tooth-brushing: Just a necessary thing I did, regardless.
Since early July, I've consistently done workouts 6 days a week: 6 days cardio (mostly rowing machine), 3 days strength. So far, I haven't missed even once.43 -
I ran a virtual 10 English Mile race (16,1km) Was a PB on distance. My husband also finished it.
To think we were both nervous whether we could finish it as late as this morning.18 -
I am shrinking! Not enough for a full size but enough to notice
I popped into the shops to buy one t-shirt and came out with two VERY cute dresses27 -
I wake up with a strong, healthy back. I used to start every day with lower back pain, walking around like a semicolon; I'd have to sit up for an hour before the pain left and my back straightened out. That's gone!!32

Today I ran 20 miles (well, most of it) 2 weeks out from a marathon.
Only job now is to not hurt myself, or massively freak out about it!35 -

Congratulations! Seeing progress like this can be very rewarding.
It's been almost exactly a year since I started C25k. Last September I could barely run 60 seconds without passing out. Today I went on a training run and had one of my best runs of the year.
I really hope running is as good to you as it has been to me. It's been an amazing mood stabilizer. And the cool thing is, running really does reward consistency and practice.

I’m wearing size large tees and am pleased with the curves that show. I’m still a pear, but no longer a blob. If this is just 3.5 months of steady work, I’m eager to see what another few months will do to my body composition.26

Scales not moving much at the moment (period related, *I hope*), so NSV all the way:
Last week:
- Under 500kcals daily average deficit.
- Only one red day (in>out).
- Avoided bingeing even though I was starving.
- Drank wine and kept within my calories.
- Starting having to wear a belt with my biking trousers to stop me from getting a gap between them and my jacket as they ride down a little when I'm on the bike (well this is probably more to do with them stretching out a little, but I'm taking it as a win)13 -
My own little victory today is going for my first session at the gym.
Blooming knackered but feeling good!...18 -
VO2 is up and Garmin says I may get a few steps and miles in each week.

Hi,new here. What is NSV?5

This is a slightly weird one, but my heart rate monitor now fits underneath my sports bra without issue.
It has a rather bulky “computer” thing in the front, and to get the sensors to read properly it used to be a balancing act right on the edge of the bra.
Realised the other day I can wear it higher now and just have it all inside the bra still reading properly and not causing chafing or anything.17 -
My most comfortable sports bra sits too wide now. Instead of firmly holding all while the shoulders rest on top, the shoulders are way out to the sides, almost off shoulder.
What’s more, a brand new birthday gift received this morning, carefully sized, is too large. Both surprises make a pleasant gift today.15 -
I had a dress on and someone says you have lost weight. I have had my weight off for 2 years so that was a compliment. I dont wear dresses often.14

NONE of my clothes fit right....and I actually care enough about myself for that to bother me.
On the upside I'm super comfortable all the time...so you know, there's that.18 -
Took off my jacket to get a flu shot and nurse was like, “Girl, who’s your person?! That (gesturing at shoulders) is what I want!” Also felt good that my cholesterol dropped 15 points to no longer borderline high.
Third one was that my oldest son (10) asked me to run w him for XC training. Sweet boy truly thought I’d be able to keep up (he was running 7:11 min/miles last week, I don’t think I’ve ever run a whole mile sub 7:40). I’ll go w my 6yo, hoping I can keep up w him!22 -
After a couple weeks of no SVs whatsoever (thanks mostly to falling off food-tracking), I was pretty happy to have some NSVs today:
1) I did my second run-walk (first week) on C25K. Which means that I kept it up and didn't quit!
2) My average pace, even with the walking, was 12:10/mi. (I should mention that I used to run but haven't done it for several years after a bad knee injury. I think I'm currently hitting my previous comfortable 5K pace during the sections where I'm running!)
3) When I was done with my run, I did a resistance-ab-cardio workout. It was, uh, an hour long. And I felt good afterwards!
I've been exercising five days a week since the beginning of May, but I used to consider a 30-minute low-impact cardio routine to be a day's workout. Before that, I was really mostly sedentary and hadn't intentionally worked out in years. I'm really happy that my cardiovascular health has come so far that I can easily make it through an hour and a half and not think much of it.
Don't worry, I'm being reasonable about this: I've got a shorter indoor cardio workout scheduled for tomorrow and then a rest day before my next run! And I'm also tracking food again, so I'm hoping some change on the scale is coming for me soon.20 -
I did 26 ft of lunges today19

I was able to wear my wedding rings again today.33

Feeling today like I can go from walking exercises to walk/jog next week!23

Got my workout on all week21

I pre-logged my day for the first time in weeks! Now to just stick to what I logged.18

After losing 50lbs, (was 330lbs, now 280lbs - and counting...) I find that I am better able to walk down my floating staircase. I previously had to hold onto the rails on both sides and go down one step at a time, (as in literally one foot down, next foot down to same step) for fear my knees would give out on me. Now, I walk down the stairs alternating feet like a typical-weight person would
Can I add another one just for fun?! I was shaving my legs in the tub the other day and I was able to turn to the side, I haven't been able to do that in years! I usually just have to be face forward. Feels good!35
