Shoes or bare foot?

Options
I was wondering, when you are doing work outs at home do you put on shoes or not? Personally I rarely wear shoes during my workouts unless I feel I need the support of a shoe with lots of jumping.

How about you?

Barefoot! My feet seem to be stronger and my stability has improved since I started exercising this way but I really enjoy going barefoot because it just feels free, natural and fun to me! :)

It all depends on what workouts. I jog and walk on my treadmill and I use an indoor rowing machine: neither of those would be very pleasant without shoes. Strength training would be possible, but not advisable (dirty garage floor and high risk of injuring myself).

For general bodyweight exercises (push-ups, planks etc.) in the living room, I don't bother with shoes.

I do barefoot unless using my treadmill. I tried it barefoot, but it rubs my feet raw! My floor is hard rubber topped by a thin carpet, so no shoes needed for all other workouts.

I love being barefoot but my feet sweat too much that it becomes a hazard for slipping. Ewwww, I know. So I wear barefoot running shoes. I like Merrell.

Depends on the exercise. Socks for squats, deadlifts, leg curl (don’t want my shoes to damage the pads), and decline sit ups (again, don’t want the shoes to damage the pads).

I tried rowing in my socks, but that went awry, so shoes for all cardio and shoes for upper day are a must. I also wear shoes for leg press.

I have raised-heel squat shoes. I press barefoot. I have chuck high-tops for deadlifts.

    Just watch out for legos!!!!!

This is a well established joke in my house. My daughter's dog is named Lego.

But yes, any parent who has stepped on a lego once knows the PAIN.

Shoes, always. But very flat and flexible. Either Vivobarefoot or Nike frees of some description.
