Hi everyone :)

I’ve recently discovered I am pregnant!
My current BMI is 30. I have 2 children already 3 and 2, and before I fell with my last baby, I was size 10, 5ft 7 and 10 stone. So very healthy! I gained 4 stone during my pregnancy there and am petrified to do it again. As I never lost the weight after. 😮😭
I am wondering if anyone has successfully lost a few stones in their first trimester! Safely of course x

Please follow the advice of your doctor for a healthy pregnancy. A few stones is a lot weight to lose in three months time. I don’t think pregnancy is the time to lose that much weight.

My understanding is it is not recommended to lose weight during pregnancy, but the current guidelines recommend women with a BMI gain between 11-20 pounds during their pregnancy. Definitely consult your doctor to see what they recommend for you individually. It is important to monitor your weight gain especially to avoid conditions like pre-eclampsia and gestational diabetes.
