Last night, after already surpassing my calories for the day, I poured a GIANT bowl of stress cereal. 1200 calories, at least. As I was walking to the fridge for milk, I accidentally dropped the bowl and broke it.
The time I spent cleaning up gave me pause to reconsider my impending binge. And by dropping that bowl, I also rid myself of the last of the stress cereal AND my last large cereal bowl (Don’t worry, I still have plenty of smaller bowls).39 -
I've just realised that I don't really snack outside of meals and I don't crave chocolate so much anymore.
I'm now eating three meals a day, and I get my chocolate fix from the occasional protein bar. When I first started, I was always snacking and eating lots of chocolate bars and cake. I'm not denying myself anything (I do CICO, so if it fits into my calories, whatever it is, I'll eat it) but my cravings have gone down.20 -
We have a second refrigerator in the garage, and that's useful as the freezer compartment is mostly empty and therefore gets used for doing things like freezing trays of things. The door also has the stash of mini candy bars, partly because they're frozen and tasty that way, and partly because they're inconvenient if kept there.
Yesterday I made pizzas for us to have at some point when I don't want to cook because I hurt too much. (I have chronic pain issues; this day WILL come.) They need to freeze flat before I transfer them to the main freezer, because the thin crust just doesn't support itself well. And yes, both times I put the pizzas in I looked at those frozen candy bars. And both times I shut the door and walked away.30 -
I went horseback riding for 2 hours yesterday. The first NSV is that I did it! A friend gave me a gift certificate for my birthday 4.5 years ago and because of some health reasons and some procrastination, I never went.
The second NSV...although I was stiff getting off the horse yesterday, as I walked around, I loosened up. And I am not sore this morning, I am walking normally. Well, except for the part of a woman’s body that gets sore after too much time on a bicycle seat. 😝😂
I am confident that these NSV’s are due to my 45 lb weight loss and daily exercise. My muscles aren’t sore because I use them. Yeah me!24 -
I'm drinking a lot more water than I used to, and I gravitate more to water than to snacking

My NSV... I fell off the logging wagon in July when I quit my job... I got back to logging this October... and discovered that other than a little bit of water weight, I had naturally maintained my weight, I wasn't redoing any weight loss.28

I got into crow pose and managed to hold!29

I listened to my body. Was feeling quite sluggish and tired after a grueling leg workout this morning. Had a snack and feel so much better!16

Hitting a bench PR of 150

Shorts that I couldn't wear last year because they were too tight are a little loose now.14

Lost 47 inches in 3 months12

Unpacked my saved size L winter wardrobe. Said goodbye to my size XL 'emergency' wardrobe. Winked at my size M cashmere sweaters waiting for me to get to goal, "I will see you later, my pretties!"32

Middle of the room headstand this morning ☺️

I am still a fat boy but progress is steady in the downwards direction, that however is a scales thing.
My NSV is not too spectacular but is significant for me.
Due to my size my cargo trousers were always a bit too tight. I never needed a belt, in fact, I stopped wearing them for quite a while because they were too tight!
This morning I had to wear something more suitable than trackie bottoms so dug out the trousers....Not only were they not tight but I had to find something to use as a belt to keep them from slipping down!34 -
I made peanut butter bars for my husband yesterday and only had one very small square of it myself. No more binge eating for me! I am so much more mindful these days. As long as it fits in my calories for the day I allow it and I don't get emotional if I don't have it in the budget for that day. No more whining inside my head " BUT I WANT IT!!!" I am so DONE with feeling like that. I love being in control.27

I've figured out my new eating rhythm to keep from feeling hungry all day while eating a calorie deficit. My needs have changed since 8 years ago when I lost the first 50lbs.14

I wanted to let other people know about this one.
My muffin top is shrunken enough to tuck into my jeans, instead of spilling over the top and forcing it down. It feels different because I've not worn pants high for decades, but I like not having the muffin top.28 -
Mine is being able to wear clothing that I couldn't wear six months ago. That's the greatest motivation.20

Dug out my old jeans that I haven't worn in over 8 years.....still a little tight to sit down but not too bad...

Zipped up my long winter boots for the first time since buying them 3 years ago 😁22
