Tremendous job! you must feel so good. Curious how you get your protein levels so high, I struggle with that. You are inspiring me, thank you!!!

That particular day was a "one off" really.
Still, the way it got that high was Gammon steak, eggs and mackerel fillets!

07:25, Sunday morning. The first Sunday of the month......

    It's Weights & Measures Day!

Last month the story was good but was this month able to follow on from that?
Let us release the Scaley Beast and see what it has to say!

    This Week
    Weight was 308.6 lbs.....Now 307.6 lbs.....A loss of 1 lb

    For October
    Weight on 6 September was 314.6 lbs.....Now 307.6 lbs....6.8 lbs gone.
    Neck was49 cm.....Now 47 cm.....A loss of 2 cm
    Waist was 132 cm.....Now 131 cm.....A loss of 1 cm
    Chest was 134 cm.....Now 132 cm.....A loss of 2 cm
    BMI was 39.8.....Now 38.1.....Down 1.7

    Last months goals were:
    Weight, I am 22st 6lb so I want to hit the 21st numbers....Now 21st 13lbs
Start getting to the gym 3 times a week....Failed
Start planking and push ups at home on non gym days.....Failed

Got the weight goal sorted, just, but I am into the 21 stone numbers....goodbye 22s
Failed miserably on the Gym and exercise front but this was mostly down to getting cocky and tried to jog/power walk and the arthritis said "yeah, right, like that is going to happen!".
I managed instead to injure my knees and so have been letting them recover....It's taking a while.

For November I have just the one goal but it is, for me, a HUGE one...
I am aiming for a loss of 8 lbs. I can hear you saying "Not a big goal". This goal is HUGE for me, this will put my weight below 300 lbs for the first time in over a decade and attain the first "waypoint" one month ahead of schedule.
    Here we go!

Hello all... I’m fairly new at this and have been using MFP since late July daily. I’ve fine from 243 to 212 as of today. I keep myself accountable by not only doing weekly weigh ins on Sunday mornings ( important to keep track and for accountability) but I find that also knowing and understanding my “why” to be tremendously important for me, which is different for everyone! Why are you on this journey? Why did you start/ stop? To best understand what helps/ hurts and potential ways to overcome/ work with what you have. I started my journey at the most I have ever weighed in my life and aghast at the truth on the scale. I have a goal of 140/150, but doing this knowing that I am getting older and I want to be able to have quality of life of when I get to 80; I don’t want to not be able to live my life but doing the things I want/ need/ enjoy, etc... I started having health issues and that freaked me out. Sure I want to look and feel better but it’s deeper than that... Find your “why” and what and why this is important and you’ll discover what else motivates you 🙂 Maybe you want to be there with family and enjoy them because can because you’re a healthier you...
    Fifty is Fabulous!

    Two Weeks Ago: 197.8
    Last Week: 196.4
    Today: 195.2

Last weeks goal: daily walks and add distance to my usual route when time allows -- days without walks at all and a few with longer walks than usual

    Next Milestone: 180s

Goals for this week: daily exercise/walks and more water (I'm sounding like a broken record on both of these)

@susanheubel -- I also (re)started this journey when I stepped on the scale and saw the highest number ever. It made angry, sad, and frustrated and disappointed in myself. It also made me face facts: the small health issues I was beginning to encounter were not necessarily "just life and a product of aging" and would likely get worse if I didn't' take control. My journey so far has been slow but mostly steady and I'm thankful to have this group to check in with and keep me accountable.

@cpnknight -- congratulations on another drop! I appreciate your honesty and 'sticking to it no matter what' attitude.

Don't be discouraged if you don't see a big drop right away from the colonoscopy: Might, might not.

Keep in mind that some of the colonoscopy prep fluids can be high in sodium, so may have a water retention effect that somewhat cancels out the empty digestive tract that's the main factor causing "weight loss" during prep. The actual fat loss from the fasting (or all-liquids day(s)) takes a few days to show up, after the sodium gets processed out, and the digestive tract refills to normal levels.

I had a colonoscopy on 9/25, and the days right before and after, scale weight bounced up and down a bit, before settling in just a little bit lower on average several days later. Your experience may differ, and be more dramatically positive, but don't be discouraged if it's otherwise!

    Last week 195.2
    Today 195.2

I’d love to be able to record a loss for this week, especially when I was more than a pound less just yesterday. I’m going to keep on keeping on and trust the scale will catch up.

We’re having gorgeous spring-like weather here in New England. I’m going to take advantage and make it an outside chore day — too busy to snack and a big dinner will have been earned.

Slowly creeping toward my mini goal of 210.
This morning I weighed in at 211.5... about a 2 pound loss after colonoscopy... sorry if it’s too much information. 🤣

    Happy Thursday friends!

Hope you had fun in the yard! I plan on heading back outside this afternoon when it gets into the 50’s. It was a frosty 29 degrees this morning walking Roxie.

Roxie is the best partner in walking. She gets me up every morning to walk. Today we were out by 5:30am at 29 degrees. She loves to roll around in the frosty grass. She can’t wait for the snow!

    Happy Saturday!
