Eating disorder trying to gain weight

5’10
115 lbs
23 years old male
Yes I am extremely under weight I am having trouble eating 2000 calories a day I’m not hungry a lot working a physical job and I still have a eating disorder....
So I want to change so I am looking for help on a 2000 + calorie diet and a lifting program
Would strong lifts 5*5 be a good program to gain mass I am just trying to get healthy I am not happy with the way I look and need to change.. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

If you want to tell me how u over came your eating disorder or a diet you think would help that would be great thank you.

    If you have an eating disorder you SHOULD be seeing a therapist to help overcome it.

    Second the above post. Get referred for specialist treatment and follow the advice you are given. This forum is great, but it’s not the place for you at the moment.

    In order to gain muscle on a lifting program you need to be taking in enough energy and protein in food. If not you will be spinning your wheels. Therapy is a good idea. Weight lifting can be a really empowering way to help yourself deal with body image/stress/anxiety issues however you also need to be eating enough to fuel your workouts. With eating disorders it is often one step forward two steps back. Also eating disorders can be very hard on the body. I would recommend getting a health check, heart health, potassium levels etc.

    Hey bro hope you will see this. Struggled with bulimia for a couple years. It's gotten a lot better but it's a daily thing. If you see this and want send me a message cause I can relate to what you are dealing with
