As I stooped to pick up the papers I had just dropped on the sidewalk, a black Cadillac Escalade pulled up to the curb beside me. The driver rolled down his window, and said, "Dayum, that's nice, you looking for some fun?"

I knew immediately who it was and he was the last person I wanted to see right now. I was in a hurry - how long would he wait? I decided to run before the Escalade stopped. My heart was pounding in my ears and yet I kept running!

As I turned the corner I knew I still had time. I turned down the alley, got out my keys and unlocked the door.

I paced in front of the unlocked door, my heart skipped every second beat... the phone rang, I didn't answer. I closed the curtains and sat on the bed across from the bay window to wait the night out when suddenly the window exploded glass was flying toward me followed by an overstuffed chair...
