Describe a vision of yourself at your goal - a scene - what does it look/feel like to make it?

I walk into work confident in my scrubs, I feel good in them even though they are unflattering, they don't bunch or pinch, I move freely and tend to my patient with energy, not constantly going back to the break room to scoff junk to make myself feel better. I already feel better, because I am gaining energy from my work and from my own confidence.
I get a new role, perhaps something with creative or managerial prospects. (Not that I want to cheat on my husband but) I get noticed by the cute doctors, just for a confidence boost. I know this sounds disgusting, but fat girls in the medical world are taken less 'seriously', I think because people think we aren't taking our own health seriously, why would they take our medical POV seriously...It shouldn't be that way but it is.
On the weekends or days off, I feel sexy and cute in my outfits, i get compliments from my husband, i feel like my 'self' again after having a baby.

I shop for all the cute things that are on sale at more stores (physical and online) than I have ever had access to before. I hit up Hot Topic, Modcloth, Spencer's, Victoria's Secret, Target, and Nordstrom without crying that I can't find something cute because I'm too big. I pass Torrid and Lane Bryant, happy that I'm too small for what they offer. I spend 30-50% less than I did previously on a couple of new outfits.
I shop sewing patterns and am confident that I can make something that looks proportionally correct to my size and frame.
When I go to get a manicure or pedicure, the ladies don't say mean things about me in languages I don't know because I'm no longer the fat American cliche.
When I go to Pride with my SO, I dance all night and feel happy to let loose with as much enthusiasm as everyone else, blending with the crowd except for my natural coloring. I'm not holding or guarding anyone's bags. My cute date night purse does not make me look huge by comparison. My SO successfully sweeps me off my feet and I feel no concern that the effort and weight will cause them injury.23 -
One word - posedown.

I can show up at job interviews
- feeling confident that they'll focus on my capabilities and experience and what I'm saying to them
- not worrying about being judged as lazy and unhealthy simply because I'm overweight
- not worrying about being considered 'too driven' because I don't conform to the "jolly overweight person" stereotype
If I wanted to (I'm not very outgoing and social) I can go on group hikes, instead of refusing because I know I'll hold everyone back and being ashames about that.
I like what I see in the mirror.
I choose the clothes I buy based on what I like and what suits me, instead of what I can find in my size and looks 'okay'.16 -

This! Yep I take my shirt off (for whatever reason) and everyone gasps as they see the 62 year old actually has 6-pack abs. . .18 -
I LOVE this thread!
I walk into work for the first time in over a year and nobody recognizes me. I have to get a new photo at security after showing my ID. I am wearing clothes that fit well and look good, and don't have to stretch to fit around a disproportionately round middle. When I put on a blazer, it hangs properly. I can wear shirts that are medium or even small.
At the same time, I have boundless energy and can do proper pushups and pullups. I have a little more muscle than average so I'm still strong. I use my stand up desk frequently without strain on my back. I go for runs after work. I swim with a bathing suit that fits. I'm happy to tell everyone how I lost 110 pounds (or whatever it ends up being) all starting with a weight loss contest a little over a year before. I'm proud to say I did it all with diet and exercise and no magic pills.17 -
The sun is shining on a beautiful day. It's mid summer and my tan has deepened enough to make my muscle definition pop even more. As I emerge from the lake I notice conversations stop as people try to guess my age. No one can tell I'm 48 years old.

Excuse my language but the definition of what a bad b**** is. Working my confidence while rocking my own style.12

I love this thread! I actually wrote this down in my journal some time ago to remind myself of what I'm working toward.
June 1st, 2021 - I have wonderful numbers: my blood pressure, blood glucose, waist circumference, LDL - all perfect.
I'm able to do 20 to 30 pushups, 100 sit-ups/crunches, a 5-minute plank, 60 minute strenuous bike ride, I can do the splits, my skin is glowing with health and vigor, I get plenty of sleep, I exercise daily, and my mental health is stable.
My internal voice is loving and kind and I'm PROUD of taking better care of myself, because I deserve it!20 -
I drive into to town to see my friends and love ones for our annual family reunion picnic, which is usually at the area amusement park. After being separated by COVID-19 for a year I love how everyone is shocked and thrilled to see the "new and improved" me. I'll be able to fit into the rides without worrying if I'll fit or not. I will be smaller in size wearing a snazzy outfit that will make heads turn, and be able to walk without a cane. I see a healthier and more outgoing me.17

I love the idea of this thread!
I'm at a festival that I've been anticipating for many months.
I'm wearing a pair of low -waisted, very tight-fitting jeans (as opposed to the high waisted ones I only wore before to hide my tummy) and maybe even a top that is slightly cropped so that my abs are peeking through. My rear looks firm under the jeans. My shoulders and arms are strong and my clavicle is defined. I've blown out and straightened my hair. I'm wearing boots with heels and my thighs are slim but strong like a dancer's.
I'm wearing a full face of makeup, but it's light and natural. I'm wearing my cutest jewelry. I feel prettier and more done-up than I have in years.
I'm getting a good deal of attention. I don't look, dress, or "act like" my age because I have (for the most part) my 28 year old body back.
I meet someone. He's wearing a kilt.21 -
It’s 20 years from now. My husband and I (by then age 70) are hiking in the Lake District in England. We’ve been staying here for a couple of months, renting a cottage. We’ve spent our days hill walking, reading in the garden, and enjoying the occasional pint. Our kids will be meeting us here next week, with their kids, before we move on to next destination—Northern Norway—for the summer. We’re fit and active, with no health issues, and we’re living our lives exactly as we want.22

You look incredible. I'd definitely stop talking, collect my things and head to the gym if I saw you on the lake.2 -

I just posted this in the group I moderate! The group's goal is to lose x amount of weight by May 1st. What will I be like/who will I be in 5 months? A confident, lighter and fitter athlete for my horses, energetic and excited, full of life and fueled by nutritious whole foods. The person I was in this picture.

At the moment, I eat between 4 to 8p.m. My vision, when I reach my target weight (only a few pounds to go) would be to eat from 2 to 8p.m. Can't wait.9

I'm 50 yo, my youngest son is in 5th grade. My plan and goal = in 7 years I will be the fittest and slimmest I have ever been in my adult life. And, because I exude youth and energy, and look years younger anyway, and because I won't be confused as the grandmother of my high schooler, I will most definitely at that point let my hair go gray! I will be that young acting, fun, full of energy and positivity, gray headed woman. I probably won't wear makeup either because I will be so comfortable in my own skin. And when the grandkids start to arrive, I will be ready!5

I'm 80 years old (60 now). I've been at my goal and maintaining for 20 years. I'm still driving, running my own errands and helping others. I'm happy and loving life and having no fear!16

(I'm no writer but here goes)
I wake up in the morning and my back doesn't hurt. I slept really well.
Looking into the mirror I notice how much older I am getting, but that I look better than I did on my wedding day. After I am cleaned up, I get dressed in the bedroom, unafraid to be undressed in front of my wife.
Some coffee, the news and a run...
Later that day we're off to the airport, to a family reunion near the beach. After struggling through security and waiting for our flight, we make it to our seats where I am comfortable and can buckle my seatbelt without worrying about it. I finally have some time to finish my book.
We touch down a few hours later and it is really warm and humid. Making our way up the ramp and grab the luggage I am not embarrassed because I am not drenched in sweat. It's an easy car ride to the hotel, and the kids are nagging us to run over to the beach before we have to meet the family for dinner.
The beach is beautiful. I pull my shirt off and we hit the water.
Later that night is the formal family reunion at a beautiful restaurant right on the beach that is within walking distance. Heading in with the family, I'm not embarrassed with how I look. I'm excited to see everyone. I don't spend any time surveying the room worried about what tight spot I will need to fit into at the dinner table. The dinner is amazing.
Everyone is taking pictures and I'm fine with it. There's no question these are going on Facebook, and I can't wait to see them Occasionally an older relative will comment on my appearance which I appreciate.
The night winds down, and I'm feeling a little drunk. Time for bed. We call for the kids and head back to the hotel to call it a night.
Can't wait for tomorrow.24 -
It’s a sunny day and I’m out with my family; the kids are smiling and we are all laughing at something funny my eldest said. I’m dressed in a nice top and slim cut jeans that fit me well. In fact - all the clothes in my closet fit me well. My skin looks amazing and my curls are popping. I’m feeling so proud that I’m a model of healthy habits for my kids to follow.
Everyday I do something active. I’m constantly impressed with how my body is so strong and capable. My shoulders and arms have real muscles and I can see my collarbones again. I’m a runner and I love to hike. My core is getting stronger.
I have so much energy- at home I’m always downsizing the things we don’t need and donating them. I’m an organizing fiend. At my work, I’m in a new position and I really like the team I’m working with. The work is challenging but I’m enjoying it.
Life is good and I’m excited for the future.15 -
Two years from now: There are long streaks of silver in my dark hair, but I look surprisingly young in the skinny jeans and tank top I'm wearing. They accentuate a pinup figure hidden underneath 100 pounds of fat for years. My skin glows, and I get lots of looks as my husband and I walk into the club. A lot of our old friends don't even recognize me, and I get a lot of people who want to know if I'm able to play with them. I have the stamina to do scenes back to back for several hours, and while I go home tired, it's the good tired of having had a lot of fun.14

This coming summer I can take my kids to the beach or pool, not be the over weight dad but the fit 6 pack dad. Actually get tan and not worry about my skin condition with a tan, for the first time ever, because I will be jacked, and have the self confidence to not care what anyone else thinks.10

There's a real silk chemise my boyfriend bought me last year. Palest mint green with cream lace. I got it over my head, but it wouldn't go over my bust. It's a Large. In six months' time, on my 42nd birthday, when I'm down 30lb and feeling so much better for my healthy diet, I'm going to do more than try it on. I'm going to wear it. And it's going to fit.11

I'm on a cruise ship...this June (hopefully! Stupid corona) and while I'm not at my goal weight, I am the slimmest I have been in 20 years. I have on the cute blue, ruffled tankini swimsuit that I bought on clearance at the end of last year. It was too tight when I bought it, but fits perfectly now. I'm laying in the lounge chair soaking up the tropical sunshine when one of my boys asks me if I want to go down the water slide. I do, so I effortlessly get up from the low lounge chair because my legs are so strong now and they have less to lift. We all have a great time on the various activities and excursions and I never once have to consider my weight when deciding whether or not to do something. I'm still not going ziplining or bungee jumping though. Nope. 🙂11

I have been maintaining for a while at a good weight (55kg + - 3kg, I think.) Some of that loose skin has shrunk back. Not all, not completely, but that's ok.
Because I finally feel like I can trust myself to actually naintain this weight (and because I landed a good job and can afford some splurging) I have gotten myself an all new set of clothes. Not second hand clothes, but truly new. Simple, high quality, not too nany pieces, but easy to mix and match. And, as everything fits me perfectly, and I have a "good enough" body, at least clothed, I always look good now with very little effort. - Which is important, because I still am the same person who just cannot put lots of effort into appearance, but I also LIKE looking good. So, best of both worlds.
I want to look good and be lazy about it. (Exercise is different than making "what to wear" choices. I actually LIKE exercise.)10 -

I see myself wearing this quote on a t-shirt. 😊7 -
I get out of my bed and I feel energetic. I feel light, I enjoy some exercise and yoga to start the day listening to some great music, i love the way i look, i feel confident to go out and live my life.8

(Background vibe: a mix of Whitney Houston in I'm Every Woman, Lizzo in Tempo, Sade in Sweetest Taboo and Annie Lennox in Money Can't Buy It)
Wait, what's happening?
While I'm in my boardroom meeting, reviewing my socially responsible Forbes 500 conglomerate's third quarter results, (while dressed in vintage Ossie Clark), Manny Montano and Charlize Theron come in to surprise me.
Ermagahhh, they're asking for my hand in marriage so that we can be a monogamous thruple once and for all.
Oh yeah, healthy stuff happens in this scenario every day somewhere. Something about quality life extension and so on and so forth...
BUT CHARLIZE THOUGH! 😭😱7 -

Okay, okay, this ^^^^^ (my original answer) and my eventual goal, which is, hugging that podium trophy (top 3 space) in a national strongwoman competition (Brits Strongest Master) and smiling...as well as celebrating that win with a blackflip (want to learn how to do one this year jujimufu style)...5
