Your story is so inspiring! Especially your recent accomplishment of hiking in the beautiful French Alps. I hiked there 30 years ago and your photo of the mountains brought back a happy memory. Congratulations on all your hard work!1

Good call on taking it slower as you tread down into the lower weight range! 👍🏻1 -

Absolutely INSPIRING! I have always felt slower was way more safer anyway. I am going to change MY goals to .5 lbs a week and see what changes for me. This is a journey... and honestly, I just want to enjoy living and breathing another day. This post makes me smile BIG! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!1

High time for another update!
My journey so far, in numbers:
- 642 days of logging everything I eat
- I've lost 28kg so far (nearly 62lbs) from a starting weight of 94.2kg (207.6lbs)
- I'm down from a BMI of 34.2 to a BMI of 24 (yay, no longer overweight!)
An updated weight graph:
And updated before and after pictures:
My first goal was to reach a normal BMI. Having reached that, I'm not fully happy yet with how I look, still some flab hiding under those clothes.
So I've revised my weight goal downwards a bit, probably another 2 to 4kg (5 to 10lbs), and I plan to continue weight training, to improve my body composition. Some of the flab is loose skin probably, but I'll just see how far I can improve. Slow and steady 🙂20 -
Congratulations you look fantastic1

That is amazing progress: very well done! (And I sympathise with the sense of being in normal bmi but still having a fair bit of flab to lose!)1

Looks awesome...congrats! Just started my journey 3 weeks back. One additional thing that is working well for me is to not have food or calorie rich drinks after 6 PM.2

Thanks a lot!
As a tribute to you I bought some 'extravagant' leggings recently 😉 They were only 5 euros and since I only work out at home, I thought they would be fun to wear (I usually wear black leggings, so it's bold for me 😁).

I'm currently still inching my weight down slowly to find my 'ideal' weight and considering the past Covid year I haven't really invested in a new wardrobe.
But now I've been invited to a garden party in three weeks, so I've been rooting around in my wardrobe to see if I need to go shopping or not.
I'm not sure if this outfit makes the cut for the garden party, but I tried out on old belt as an accent (the decorative slits allowed me to tighten it sufficiently): quite a difference between my original and current waist size!

Brilliant progress! The belt really emphasises the change in your shape.
