    I started tracking my excess calories each day last round, those in the Green at the end of the tracking day. My results (based on 1200 calories per day) from 100 days were 78,627 - which over 100 days should lead to 7.86 pound loss, and I actually lost 8.9, so pretty good.

    Day 1: Thurs, 9/17: 141.7 - I expect to get a lot of activity on my trip, but today is a driving day so I will have a nice workout before I leave. 919 in the green

    @dawnbgethealthy Ahhhh.... just when you thought it was safe for me to go into the water.....LOL
    It is difficult when I have a houseful of workers on the many projects. Last night they left so late that I ended up eating grab & go type food from my cabinets. (I just don't want to cook or eat in front of them all). I gained a bit overnight but my new kitchen faucet doesn't leak and is beautiful. Also the blinds that were put up are great. I will go low cal today and get in more unpacking (up and down this 3 story house of stairs). Workmen may not be back until tomorrow. If so, I will make this day count! Thanks for the encouragement. I am staying razor focused as best as I can. I want Onederland again ASAP! I want to look and feel great by my Michigan USA summer!

    Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
    Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
    Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
    Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
    Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
    Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
    Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
    Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today. Flush, flush, flush.

    Day 11 – 09/27 …..211.2….. I am not getting where I want to be in a very healthy way. Even with the scale going down I am not super happy. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
    Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
    Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.
    Day 14 – 09/30 …..211.0….. Chinese food yesterday with leftovers today. Still down a tad from the start.

    Day 16 – 10/02 …..209.0….. Whoosh! Practiced some IF yesterday and tried to keep the calories low (AS THEY SHOULD BE) . I hope today will be another good day!
    Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.
    Day 18 – 10/04 …..210.0….. Going back down, even with challenges. #nevergiveup
    Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.
    Day 20 – 10/06 …..209.4….. Whoosh!
    Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
    Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
    Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
    Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!
    Day 25 – 10/11 …..209.2….. Yay!
    Day 26 – 10/12 …..208.6….. Artificially low? We’ll see what tomorrow brings.
    Day 27 – 10/13 …..208.6….. I see I posted my stats yesterday on the wrong challenge. I guess I was just excited! I traveled today so I am afraid of tomorrow’s numbers, but I will try to stay positive and tackle whatever mean ol’ number that scale may bring.
    Day 28 – 10/14 …..209.2….. I’m actually quite pleased with this. Sometimes carbs pack on 2-3 pounds from one travel meal! As a diabetic, I always eat when traveling. I am sure I will always choose those lovely foods not available in my little home town. However, changing habits in some way IS good so I am trying to resign myself to smaller portions. Also a lighter calorie/carb day the day after. No need to keep the extra ounces (on my hips) right?
    Day 29 – 10/15 …..208.4….. God is Good and He has always had my back. Today is the first step in some life-changing things I have been working on. It puts me one step closer to where I need to be in my personal and professional life. I hope everyone will smile with (and for) me today. As far as my weight goes, I am not counting every carb and calorie again, just yet, but I am tweaking and making some important changes on this particular path of my journey. When all my resolutions are here, I will be able to focus again. It will be before Christmas I hope. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Down almost a whole pound overnight and a bit lower than my pre-travel weight! I am estatic!
    Day 30 – 10/16 …..208.2….. I’ll take it!
    Day 31 – 10/17 …..207.6….. I am trying to make a better difference everyday in my diet, movement and attitude. I’m not 100% yet, some personal things continue to hold me back in time and energy, but I’m on my way!
    Day 32 – 10/18 …..208.2….. I was very careful and got in some extra movement. I did have garlic bread (2 slices) so I guess I deserve this. I am still carefully watching portions (otherwise).
    Day 33 – 10/19 …..207.4….. I enjoyed a new Deep Dish Pizza place in my little rural town. It was very good. I ate ½ of what I would normally eat and saved the rest for my dinner. No snacks at TV time to make up for the carbs/calories. It really helped and my weight has moved down! I will make today a great day!
    Day 34 – 10/20 …..207.0…..I made a few bad choices but stopped temptation in it’s tracks and made the actual decision to make better one’s for the rest of the day. So glad I did!
    Day 35 – 10/21 …..206.2….. I’m actually patting myself on the back today. So proud I have continued my changes. Yesterday I danced to one song on my Alexa and I did one Fitness Marshall (Sour Candy) with Lady Gaga. It felt like a 20 minute workout so I am out of shape but it was fun. I always love watching him!
    Day 36 – 10/22 …..207.6…..Well that Sux! I guess grilled cheese & tomato soup is off the menu in the near future! Having chili-dogs at a local bar/restaurant today with a friend. I will have to work my whole dietary day around the pre-planned lunch. I need more movement and water today too.
    Day 37 – 10/23 …..206.8….. I could have done without the French silk pie, or could I? Still trending down so I must be diligent!
    Day 38 – 10/24 …..207.8….. Lucky Charms for dinner is a no-no.
    Day 39 – 10/25 …..208.2…..A horrid day of grab & go eating. In fact it has been that way for the past few days. I MUST find time to cook but its pretty hard to do when most of my time lately has been away from home on projects. Tomorrow I travel far & wide to pick up my car from transmission shop downstate. I won’t be home until late evening. More weight!
    Day 40 – 10/26 …..208.2….. Feeling like a loser right now without losing.
    Day 41 – 10/27 …..210.4….. After travel weight. Fall is trying to get to me again with the pre-snow (bad roads) travel rush and with the warm & toasty comfort food. Too cold to walk and all that jazz. Knowledge is power! Today will be a good day.

    Day 43 – 10/29 …..207.9….. I don’t think I entirely deserve the nice drop on the scale but I’m grateful. Skipped breakfast with a fast, very low cal lunch. We won’t talk about the rest.
    Day 44 – 10/30 …..208.4….. I woke up in the middle of the night and ate a tremendously large meal before going back to sleep. I was starving! Very unusual. Early morning weigh-in afterward.

    Day 46 – 11/01 …..207.4….. Even after sneaking some Haloween Candy so I am very happy with this. A very light dinner helped.
    Day 47 – 11/02 …..208.6….. I ate 3 meals yesterday. They were pretty healthy but I usually only eat two and a snack at night with TV so I know it was higher calories than typical.
    Day 48 – 11/03 …..207.6….. What a roller-coaster ride this is!
    Day 49 – 11/04 …..?????….. I actually forgot to weigh today before the coffee. Yesterday was an above-average day so the scale would probably have smiled a little bit on me.
    Day 50 – 11/05 …..206.6….. At the halfway mark in the challenge and feeling very happy with my progress. Will this 206 hold? Stay tuned.

    Day 51 – 11/06 …..205.2….. Yay! I’m going to keep this train going and plan my meals carefully today!
    Day 52 – 11/07 …..205.2.….. Blood sugar drop last night really did me in. I tried to be more in control of the situation but it still requires sugar and carbs to fix very quickly. I managed to bring it back up without being totally ridiculous. Thankful for that. I will plan more carefully today and avoid that situation tonight, I hope.
    Day 53 – 11/08 ……206.0…..Must have been hidden high sodium. My menu wasn’t bad yesterday and my movement was increased.
    Day 54 – 11/09 ….206.2….. More salty food. Today is a very big day in my life. I will have little control of anything but I will do my best.
    Day 55 – 11/10 …..207.0….. Pizza & icecream during a celebration. Kicking my own butt today.
    Day 56 – 11/11 …..207.4….. Reading my posts from various challenges, I think I’ve found a pattern of self-destruction. Every time I have a glucose drop (very scary) I end up eating high carb or sugary things at night which I believe sub-consciensly (spelled wrong) caused me to eat wrong and too much at night to avoid an episode. I am going to work around this but it won’t be easy. That survival instinct we have as humans is very strong and hard to manipulate.
    Day 72 – 11/12 …..207.4….. Same
    Day 58 – 11/13 ……207.6….. You CAN overeat healthy low cal foods. I was STARVING yesterday. Woke up STARVING again today. I hope for a better day but I am trying to pay attention to my body's cues to avoid sugar drops. Fear changes things and it's a hill I climb sometimes in my journey. Figuring it out.
    Day 59 – 11/14 …..210.0…..A neighbor brought me a Chinese Dinner yesterday from out of town. Half for lunch. Half for dinner. I thought he was my friend. : /
    Day 60 – 11/15 …..208.6….. I was careful yesterday due to some bloat and it helped. I will stay diligent today. I am proud that I turned down icecream when everyone else had it. I had a glass of cold water instead.
    Day 61 – 11/16 …..207.2….I am still working down the bloat. Michigan is closing down restaurants starting Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at midnight. I see restaurants in my day for tomorrow and Tuesday for me and my son. Just like last time, nearly all of our very few restaurants in this very small town will completely close, even if carry out is allowed. Carry out only is just not enough to sustain small town places. I will try to be mindful but I think Pizza will be one choice and that is usually not good. So, my plan is to watch the quantities. I will survive and overcome any damage.
    Day 62 – 11/17 …..209.0….. This is making me crazy. I know I need more water. Hardly shedding any at all and that is very unusual for a diabetic!
    Day 63 – 11/18 …..209.0….. Bad choices on the run with my busy life right now. I can’t wait for things to improve!
    Day 64 – 11/19 …..208.4….. Finally losing some water weight. I can’t wait to actually get to the fat!
    Day 65 – 11/20 …..208.4……Final moving day. Handing over the keys to my home and two businesses. I will be very busy unpacking over the next couple of weeks. I will not be able to focus on my diet so much, but I should be able to get in lots of movement!

    Day 67 – 11/22 …..208.1…… Finally got internet straightened out in new home!
    Day 68 – 11/23 …..207.2…… Thankful for the drop. Traveling today for a new hot water heater. I will be careful with the carry-out at the restaurant but I will expect some water retention tomorrow.
    Day 69 – 11/24 …..207.2…… Shocked there is no after travel major damage.
    Day 70 – 11/25 …..206.2…… Burning it off. Diet just so-so.
    Day 71 – 11/26 …..206..6…… Frustrating!
    Day 72 – 11/27 …..207.6…… Not too bad after a Thanksgiving meal in the new house. Our view was unpacked boxes, but the meal was delicious. I can’t believe I pulled the kitchen together (just) enough to cook and bake! My son & I have so much to be grateful for this year so this was an important event for us.

    Day 74 – 11/29 …..xxxxx…… I actually forgot to weigh today. Wrapped and prepped for my DGS birthday party who turned 3. It was handled in a Covid-safe way. Cake & icecream that I couldn’t say no to, so hopefully not too much damage tomorrow.
    Day 75 – 11/30 …..207.2…… Back on track today. Those after-holiday late night cravings got to me last night. I realized after eating that I could easily have eaten much much less. Sometimes I fill my plate with the “old amounts” out of habit. I’ll have to watch that!

    Hey Everyone! We are back at it again with round 6!

    This challenge is a 100 days of weighting in daily. This is where we track our fluctuations on a day to day basis to see which foods, activities, & movement make the scale move in the right direction.

    Day 1 will be on Thursday, September 17th & Day 100 will be on Friday, December 25th

    Feel free to start whenever you want to. Jump in and join even if you didn’t start on Day 1.

    The rules are simple:
    1. Set yourself a goal of what you want to weigh on Day 100 and work towards getting there for the next 100 days.

    Day 47: Mon, 11/2: 219.0 (+1.9 Weigh-In Day) No exercise, 1501 cal, 66 net carbs (nibbled on DH’s fries at lunch, cornbread and pumpkin cookies again), AF. Stressful long day. Drove to Austin to visit my son & his wife to help with remodeling their new home today. My mom’s husband had a stroke and cranial bleeding after a fall this morning… he is in the hospital. She called as we were 1/2 way to Austin so rearranging the rest of the week. Then I found out one of our dear neighbors died from a bad reaction to chemo treatment this weekend when I got back home from Austin.
    Need to care for myself as I care for others. Time to regroup on my better habits.
    Day 48: Tues, 11/3: 217.7 Walked 5 miles, 1095 cal, 22 net carbs, AF. NOT one snack today. DH is on board to refocus with me. Recovered from the weekend splurges.
    Day 49: Wed, 11/4: 215.3 Walked 3 miles, 1350 cal, 32 net carbs, AF. Donated blood ended up with an unplanned snack before leaving the center hence the high carbs.
    Day 50: Thurs, 11/5: 216.3 Mom’s scale @ fishing camp fully dressed after breakfast No exercise (should’ve could’ve walked), 1207 cal, 29 net carbs, wine. Long drive to camp to begin helping my mom with her husband in ICU.
    Day 51: Fri, 11/6: DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3 miles, tracked meals only, 2 short glasses of wine. Moved Mom’s husband into hospice since no sign of possible recovery. It is his 85th birthday. DS & his wife arrived at midnight to see grandfather.
    Day 52: Sat, 11/7: DNW @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3 miles, tracked meals only, food under control, 2 glasses of wine. He passed away with my mom & my sister by his side.

    Day 63: Wed, 11/18: 215.0 🩺 Annual Physical today. Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1359 cal, 91 net carbs (Tiff’s Treats Cookies daughter sent over for DH’s birthday), AF.
    Day 64: Thurs, 11/19: 215.0 🥂 Wedding Anniversary today! Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1206 cal, 69 net carbs, 1 glass wine. Tiff’s Treats Cookies again; fasting till noon for bloodwork, salad for lunch and homemade beef veggie soup for dinner saved me on calorie consumption.
    Day 65: Fri, 11/20: 216.1 Walked 4 miles, 2350 cal, 110 net carbs, 4 glasses wine. Point Reyes virtual wine & cheese tasting, anniversary dinner at Palazzos mussels, grilled salmon, angel hair aglio olio, and garlic bread. Ate half the salmon and pasta but too much bread! Not surprised in the bump on the scale.

    I started tracking my excess calories each day last round, those in the Green at the end of the tracking day. My results (based on 1200 calories per day) from 100 days were 78,627 - which over 100 days should lead to 7.86 pound loss, and I actually lost 8.9, so pretty good.

    Day 1: Thurs, 9/17: 141.7 - I expect to get a lot of activity on my trip, but today is a driving day so I will have a nice workout before I leave. 919 in the green

    Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
    Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
    Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
    Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
    Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
    Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
    Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
    Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today. Flush, flush, flush.

    Day 11 – 09/27 …..211.2….. I am not getting where I want to be in a very healthy way. Even with the scale going down I am not super happy. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
    Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
    Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.
    Day 14 – 09/30 …..211.0….. Chinese food yesterday with leftovers today. Still down a tad from the start.

    Day 16 – 10/02 …..209.0….. Whoosh! Practiced some IF yesterday and tried to keep the calories low (AS THEY SHOULD BE) . I hope today will be another good day!
    Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.
    Day 18 – 10/04 …..210.0….. Going back down, even with challenges. #nevergiveup
    Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.
    Day 20 – 10/06 …..209.4….. Whoosh!
    Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
    Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
    Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
    Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!

    Day 27 – 10/13 …..208.6….. I see I posted my stats yesterday on the wrong challenge. I guess I was just excited! I traveled today so I am afraid of tomorrow’s numbers, but I will try to stay positive and tackle whatever mean ol’ number that scale may bring.
    Day 28 – 10/14 …..209.2….. I’m actually quite pleased with this. Sometimes carbs pack on 2-3 pounds from one travel meal! As a diabetic, I always eat when traveling. I am sure I will always choose those lovely foods not available in my little home town. However, changing habits in some way IS good so I am trying to resign myself to smaller portions. Also a lighter calorie/carb day the day after. No need to keep the extra ounces (on my hips) right?
    Day 29 – 10/15 …..208.4….. God is Good and He has always had my back. Today is the first step in some life-changing things I have been working on. It puts me one step closer to where I need to be in my personal and professional life. I hope everyone will smile with (and for) me today. As far as my weight goes, I am not counting every carb and calorie again, just yet, but I am tweaking and making some important changes on this particular path of my journey. When all my resolutions are here, I will be able to focus again. It will be before Christmas I hope. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Down almost a whole pound overnight and a bit lower than my pre-travel weight! I am estatic!
    Day 30 – 10/16 …..208.2….. I’ll take it!
    Day 31 – 10/17 …..207.6….. I am trying to make a better difference everyday in my diet, movement and attitude. I’m not 100% yet, some personal things continue to hold me back in time and energy, but I’m on my way!
    Day 32 – 10/18 …..208.2….. I was very careful and got in some extra movement. I did have garlic bread (2 slices) so I guess I deserve this. I am still carefully watching portions (otherwise).
    Day 33 – 10/19 …..207.4….. I enjoyed a new Deep Dish Pizza place in my little rural town. It was very good. I ate ½ of what I would normally eat and saved the rest for my dinner. No snacks at TV time to make up for the carbs/calories. It really helped and my weight has moved down! I will make today a great day!
    Day 34 – 10/20 …..207.0…..I made a few bad choices but stopped temptation in it’s tracks and made the actual decision to make better one’s for the rest of the day. So glad I did!
    Day 35 – 10/21 …..206.2….. I’m actually patting myself on the back today. So proud I have continued my changes. Yesterday I danced to one song on my Alexa and I did one Fitness Marshall (Sour Candy) with Lady Gaga. It felt like a 20 minute workout so I am out of shape but it was fun. I always love watching him!
    Day 36 – 10/22 …..207.6…..Well that Sux! I guess grilled cheese & tomato soup is off the menu in the near future! Having chili-dogs at a local bar/restaurant today with a friend. I will have to work my whole dietary day around the pre-planned lunch. I need more movement and water today too.
    Day 37 – 10/23 …..206.8….. I could have done without the French silk pie, or could I? Still trending down so I must be diligent!
    Day 38 – 10/24 …..207.8….. Lucky Charms for dinner is a no-no.
    Day 39 – 10/25 …..208.2…..A horrid day of grab & go eating. In fact it has been that way for the past few days. I MUST find time to cook but its pretty hard to do when most of my time lately has been away from home on projects. Tomorrow I travel far & wide to pick up my car from transmission shop downstate. I won’t be home until late evening. More weight!
    Day 40 – 10/26 …..208.2….. Feeling like a loser right now without losing.

    Day 48 – 11/03 …..207.6….. What a roller-coaster ride this is!
    Day 49 – 11/04 …..?????….. I actually forgot to weigh today before the coffee. Yesterday was an above-average day so the scale would probably have smiled a little bit on me.
    Day 50 – 11/05 …..206.6….. At the halfway mark in the challenge and feeling very happy with my progress. Will this 206 hold? Stay tuned.

    Day 52 – 11/07 …..205.2.….. Blood sugar drop last night really did me in. I tried to be more in control of the situation but it still requires sugar and carbs to fix very quickly. I managed to bring it back up without being totally ridiculous. Thankful for that. I will plan more carefully today and avoid that situation tonight, I hope.
    Day 53 – 11/08 ……206.0…..Must have been hidden high sodium. My menu wasn’t bad yesterday and my movement was increased.
    Day 54 – 11/09 ….206.2….. More salty food. Today is a very big day in my life. I will have little control of anything but I will do my best.
    Day 55 – 11/10 …..207.0….. Pizza & icecream during a celebration. Kicking my own butt today.
    Day 56 – 11/11 …..207.4….. Reading my posts from various challenges, I think I’ve found a pattern of self-destruction. Every time I have a glucose drop (very scary) I end up eating high carb or sugary things at night which I believe sub-consciensly (spelled wrong) caused me to eat wrong and too much at night to avoid an episode. I am going to work around this but it won’t be easy. That survival instinct we have as humans is very strong and hard to manipulate.
    Day 72 – 11/12 …..207.4….. Same
    Day 58 – 11/13 ……207.6….. You CAN overeat healthy low cal foods. I was STARVING yesterday. Woke up STARVING again today. I hope for a better day but I am trying to pay attention to my body's cues to avoid sugar drops. Fear changes things and it's a hill I climb sometimes in my journey. Figuring it out.
    Day 59 – 11/14 …..210.0…..A neighbor brought me a Chinese Dinner yesterday from out of town. Half for lunch. Half for dinner. I thought he was my friend. : /
    Day 60 – 11/15 …..208.6….. I was careful yesterday due to some bloat and it helped. I will stay diligent today. I am proud that I turned down icecream when everyone else had it. I had a glass of cold water instead.
    Day 61 – 11/16 …..207.2….I am still working down the bloat. Michigan is closing down restaurants starting Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at midnight. I see restaurants in my day for tomorrow and Tuesday for me and my son. Just like last time, nearly all of our very few restaurants in this very small town will completely close, even if carry out is allowed. Carry out only is just not enough to sustain small town places. I will try to be mindful but I think Pizza will be one choice and that is usually not good. So, my plan is to watch the quantities. I will survive and overcome any damage.
    Day 62 – 11/17 …..209.0….. This is making me crazy. I know I need more water. Hardly shedding any at all and that is very unusual for a diabetic!
    Day 63 – 11/18 …..209.0….. Bad choices on the run with my busy life right now. I can’t wait for things to improve!
    Day 64 – 11/19 …..208.4….. Finally losing some water weight. I can’t wait to actually get to the fat!
    Day 65 – 11/20 …..208.4……Final moving day. Handing over the keys to my home and two businesses. I will be very busy unpacking over the next couple of weeks. I will not be able to focus on my diet so much, but I should be able to get in lots of movement!

I can’t believe I pulled the kitchen together (just) enough to cook and bake! My son & I have so much to be grateful for this year so this was an important event for us.
    Day 73 – 11/28 …..206.4…… I’m very happy with this post-Thanksgiving weight as it goes back down. I will be adding 20 minutes of general dancing and/or Fitness Marshall to my routine starting soon!
    Day 74 – 11/29 …..xxxxx…… I actually forgot to weigh today. Wrapped and prepped for my DGS birthday party who turned 3. It was handled in a Covid-safe way. Cake & icecream that I couldn’t say no to, so hopefully not too much damage tomorrow.
    Day 75 – 11/30 …..207.2…… Back on track today. Those after-holiday late night cravings got to me last night. I realized after eating that I could easily have eaten much much less. Sometimes I fill my plate with the “old amounts” out of habit. I’ll have to watch that!

She called as we were 1/2 way to Austin so rearranging the rest of the week. Then I found out one of our dear neighbors died from a bad reaction to chemo treatment this weekend when I got back home from Austin.

    Day 64: Thurs, 11/19: 215.0 🥂 Wedding Anniversary today! Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1206 cal, 69 net carbs, 1 glass wine. Tiff’s Treats Cookies again; fasting till noon for bloodwork, salad for lunch and homemade beef veggie soup for dinner saved me on calorie consumption.

Point Reyes virtual wine & cheese tasting, anniversary dinner at Palazzos mussels, grilled salmon, angel hair aglio olio, and garlic bread. Ate half the salmon and pasta but too much bread! Not surprised in the bump on the scale.

    Day 84 - 12/09 …..204.0…..I need to start thanking people for their kindness when they bring over food, but lay it aside.
    @deepwoodslady Have you finished unpacking? All the plumbing and heating working?

    It is very sweet of folks to bring food. I'm starting to realize now that maybe when I take food to a friend's home I need to rethink my go to meals and gift them something that is healthy or works for them.
    That concept was so hard for my mom who never throws out leftovers or gifts of food. When her husband was ill and then passed away the food was pouring in. But none of it was diet friendly ... lots of casseroles with rice, desserts, etc. Someone brought a meatloaf and a green veggie ... that we ate! Instead of using these random meals I kept cooking to keep myself on my plan. Many of the "food gifts" I divided up into individual servings and froze for my mom for use later ... or I put a note in the "thank you list" for cards later and tossed. The funniest was deviled eggs ... who messes up deviled eggs! Well Dolly made them and she can't cook. She brought over a couple of dozen. We each had one with lunch that day ... no one could finish theirs and my mom said you can toss those! LOL
    Then after Thanksgiving I was again at the camp next to my mom's. Well everyone seemed to bring their leftover Thanksgiving desserts to Ladies Poker night at my moms. I ended up eating 2 slices of pecan pie that week. ARGHHH
    Next time I go down there my plan is to just avoid my mom's kitchen because I know folks will bring food again after Christmas.

    No not done unpacking yet. Trying to do a couple of boxes per day. At the same time I am trying to decorate , shop online and wrap what ups brings in daily. I am 100% on my own and its a 3 story house so it's slow going but I'll get there.

    New kitchen faucet is in (old one leaked badly) and its hi-tech so I am having fun with it. Bladder for well is complete. Sink in guest bathroom still has cold water off in sink, but at least the hot works. (cold leaks to basement). There was a lot of furniture left including bedding that had to be disposed of or repurposed. Everything yellow and smokey (curtains walls even carpet) so cleaning has been the first priority and I am working on that daily too.

    My kids are all working or have little ones so no help but that is okay. I'll get it all done eventually. I'm just glad I found someone to hire to help me get my trees up. I could never have made it up the stairs from the basement!

    Thanks for thinking of me, especially when you have had your own hands full!

    Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
    Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
    Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
    Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
    Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
    Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
    Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
    Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
    Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
    Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.

    Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.

    Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.

    Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
    Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
    Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
    Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!

    Day 28 – 10/14 …..209.2….. I’m actually quite pleased with this. Sometimes carbs pack on 2-3 pounds from one travel meal! As a diabetic, I always eat when traveling. I am sure I will always choose those lovely foods not available in my little home town. However, changing habits in some way IS good so I am trying to resign myself to smaller portions. Also a lighter calorie/carb day the day after. No need to keep the extra ounces (on my hips) right?
    Day 29 – 10/15 …..208.4….. God is Good and He has always had my back. Today is the first step in some life-changing things I have been working on. It puts me one step closer to where I need to be in my personal and professional life. I hope everyone will smile with (and for) me today. As far as my weight goes, I am not counting every carb and calorie again, just yet, but I am tweaking and making some important changes on this particular path of my journey. When all my resolutions are here, I will be able to focus again. It will be before Christmas I hope. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Down almost a whole pound overnight and a bit lower than my pre-travel weight! I am estatic!

    Day 31 – 10/17 …..207.6….. I am trying to make a better difference everyday in my diet, movement and attitude. I’m not 100% yet, some personal things continue to hold me back in time and energy, but I’m on my way!
    Day 32 – 10/18 …..208.2….. I was very careful and got in some extra movement. I did have garlic bread (2 slices) so I guess I deserve this. I am still carefully watching portions (otherwise).
    Day 33 – 10/19 …..207.4….. I enjoyed a new Deep Dish Pizza place in my little rural town. It was very good. I ate ½ of what I would normally eat and saved the rest for my dinner. No snacks at TV time to make up for the carbs/calories. It really helped and my weight has moved down! I will make today a great day!
    Day 34 – 10/20 …..207.0…..I made a few bad choices but stopped temptation in it’s tracks and made the actual decision to make better one’s for the rest of the day. So glad I did!
    Day 35 – 10/21 …..206.2….. I’m actually patting myself on the back today. So proud I have continued my changes. Yesterday I danced to one song on my Alexa and I did one Fitness Marshall (Sour Candy) with Lady Gaga. It felt like a 20 minute workout so I am out of shape but it was fun. I always love watching him!
    Day 36 – 10/22 …..207.6…..Well that Sux! I guess grilled cheese & tomato soup is off the menu in the near future! Having chili-dogs at a local bar/restaurant today with a friend. I will have to work my whole dietary day around the pre-planned lunch. I need more movement and water today too.

I MUST find time to cook but its pretty hard to do when most of my time lately has been away from home on projects. Tomorrow I travel far & wide to pick up my car from transmission shop downstate.     Day 47 – 11/02 …..208.6….. I ate 3 meals yesterday. They were pretty healthy but I usually only eat two and a snack at night with TV so I know it was higher calories than typical.
    Day 48 – 11/03 …..207.6….. What a roller-coaster ride this is!
    Day 49 – 11/04 …..?????….. I actually forgot to weigh today before the coffee. Yesterday was an above-average day so the scale would probably have smiled a little bit on me.
    Day 50 – 11/05 …..206.6….. At the halfway mark in the challenge and feeling very happy with my progress. Will this 206 hold? Stay tuned.

    Day 52 – 11/07 …..205.2.….. Blood sugar drop last night really did me in. I tried to be more in control of the situation but it still requires sugar and carbs to fix very quickly. I managed to bring it back up without being totally ridiculous. Thankful for that. I will plan more carefully today and avoid that situation tonight, I hope.
    Day 53 – 11/08 ……206.0…..Must have been hidden high sodium. My menu wasn’t bad yesterday and my movement was increased.
    Day 54 – 11/09 ….206.2….. More salty food. Today is a very big day in my life. I will have little control of anything but I will do my best.
    Day 55 – 11/10 …..207.0….. Pizza & icecream during a celebration. Kicking my own butt today.
    Day 56 – 11/11 …..207.4….. Reading my posts from various challenges, I think I’ve found a pattern of self-destruction. Every time I have a glucose drop (very scary) I end up eating high carb or sugary things at night which I believe sub-consciensly (spelled wrong) caused me to eat wrong and too much at night to avoid an episode. I am going to work around this but it won’t be easy. That survival instinct we have as humans is very strong and hard to manipulate.

    Day 58 – 11/13 ……207.6….. You CAN overeat healthy low cal foods. I was STARVING yesterday. Woke up STARVING again today. I hope for a better day but I am trying to pay attention to my body's cues to avoid sugar drops. Fear changes things and it's a hill I climb sometimes in my journey. Figuring it out.
    Day 59 – 11/14 …..210.0…..A neighbor brought me a Chinese Dinner yesterday from out of town. Half for lunch. Half for dinner. I thought he was my friend. : /
    Day 60 – 11/15 …..208.6….. I was careful yesterday due to some bloat and it helped. I will stay diligent today. I am proud that I turned down icecream when everyone else had it. I had a glass of cold water instead.
    Day 61 – 11/16 …..207.2….I am still working down the bloat. Michigan is closing down restaurants starting Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at midnight. I see restaurants in my day for tomorrow and Tuesday for me and my son. Just like last time, nearly all of our very few restaurants in this very small town will completely close, even if carry out is allowed. Carry out only is just not enough to sustain small town places. I will try to be mindful but I think Pizza will be one choice and that is usually not good. So, my plan is to watch the quantities. I will survive and overcome any damage.
    Day 62 – 11/17 …..209.0….. This is making me crazy. I know I need more water. Hardly shedding any at all and that is very unusual for a diabetic!
    Day 63 – 11/18 …..209.0….. Bad choices on the run with my busy life right now. I can’t wait for things to improve!

    Day 65 – 11/20 …..208.4……Final moving day. Handing over the keys to my home and two businesses. I will be very busy unpacking over the next couple of weeks. I will not be able to focus on my diet so much, but I should be able to get in lots of movement!

    Day 72 – 11/27 …..207.6…… Not too bad after a Thanksgiving meal in the new house. Our view was unpacked boxes, but the meal was delicious. I can’t believe I pulled the kitchen together (just) enough to cook and bake! My son & I have so much to be grateful for this year so this was an important event for us.
    Day 73 – 11/28 …..206.4…… I’m very happy with this post-Thanksgiving weight as it goes back down. I will be adding 20 minutes of general dancing and/or Fitness Marshall to my routine starting soon!
    Day 74 – 11/29 …..xxxxx…… I actually forgot to weigh today. Wrapped and prepped for my DGS birthday party who turned 3. It was handled in a Covid-safe way. Cake & icecream that I couldn’t say no to, so hopefully not too much damage tomorrow.
    Day 75 – 11/30 …..207.2…… Back on track today. Those after-holiday late night cravings got to me last night. I realized after eating that I could easily have eaten much much less. Sometimes I fill my plate with the “old amounts” out of habit. I’ll have to watch that!

Drove to Austin to visit my son & his wife to help with remodeling their new home today. My mom’s husband had a stroke and cranial bleeding after a fall this morning… he is in the hospital. She called as we were 1/2 way to Austin so rearranging the rest of the week. Then I found out one of our dear neighbors died from a bad reaction to chemo treatment this weekend when I got back home from Austin.
    Need to care for myself as I care for others. Time to regroup on my better habits.

    Day 64: Thurs, 11/19: 215.0 🥂 Wedding Anniversary today! Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1206 cal, 69 net carbs, 1 glass wine. Tiff’s Treats Cookies again; fasting till noon for bloodwork, salad for lunch and homemade beef veggie soup for dinner saved me on calorie consumption.

Not surprised in the bump on the scale.

    @deepwoodslady - 3 stories! Does that include the basement? You'll have your own stairs master exercise program inside this winter :) Glad you are not pressuring yourself to get it all done and take your time to settle in. Yellow ... reminds me of our first home we bought in St. Louis. I thought the kitchen wallpaper was yellow but they left pictures on the walls and as it turns out ... that wallpaper was white before! It was definitely a smokers house. Used the curtains as drop clothes and painted all the walls using kilz paint primer to get rid of the order. Cleaned the carpets and planned to eventually get rid of them but we moved to Houston for a job soon afterward (move-in Aug 1; move-out Dec 26).

    Did you move your son into an apartment or will he be staying with you for a while longer?

    I started tracking my excess calories each day last round, those in the Green at the end of the tracking day. My results (based on 1200 calories per day) from 100 days were 78,627 - which over 100 days should lead to 7.86 pound loss, and I actually lost 8.9, so pretty good.

    3 stories includes the basement. My son has a FABULOUS apartment that we've set up in the basement. He is in the part that was "finished" though it is absurdly ugly because of the carpet so I am up & down those stairs a lot too. I plan on adding a kitchen down there for him at some point.

    The house does not smell of smoke (I have a great sniffer). It was professionally cleaned by a court conservator who hired a company before listing it on the market. It also sat empty for a year because the man died and the woman had alzheimers and had to be taken in by family (or nursing home?). It is just visably yellow and I don't trust that the carpets or furnishings left were cleaned 100%. I think it is just a lot of damage from years of old people smoking inside.

    My legs are not as strong as I thought they were. Years of walking has helped, I'm sure, but years of diabetes have taken their toll. I will use the stairs for sure all winter to strengthen me!

    The house is about 3000 sq feet if you count the basement which is parially finished and will be fully finished at some point. Too much painting for me and way too high in the hallways of the multiple staircases. I was very good at painting in my day but for much of this I will have to hire a painter. I am just the the gal I used to be! Tons of wallpaper (outdated and yellowed) and even some popcorn ceilings that I don't think I can live with. I have several years of projects ahead of me (and my workers). It will be a labor a love. I look forward to every minute of it!

    Day 01 – 09/17 ….210.8…..Very Pleased. This is a nice way to start! Good luck everyone!
    Day 02 – 09/18 ....210.6….. Happy Dance!
    Day 03 – 09/19 ….211.2….. canned soup with crackers. Too much sodium but had no time to cook yesterday.
    Day 04 – 09/20 ….210.8….. Better!
    Day 05 - 09/21 …..211.0….. not a bad little increase after movie night with son and some pizza.
    Day 06 – 09/22 …..210.8….. Traveled today so tomorrow will be pitiful. Going to get very diligent to knock it back into the atmosphere. No extra fat allowed to hang around here. Time to go!
    Day 07 – 09/23 …..212.0….. After travel. I will work on this today.
    Day 08 – 09/24 …..210.8….. Traveled again but kept it to one meal and a small snack and I was rewarded!
    Day 09 – 09/25 …..211.6….. I hate gaining when there is no apparent reason why. Yesterday was a pretty good day. However, there was not much movement due to all the special meetings I had. So today I will focus on more movement and cautiously go to the grocery store for more water (which is a little scary on a Friday in this small tourist town). Hydration may be key today.     Day 11 – 09/27 …..211.2….. I am not getting where I want to be in a very healthy way. Even with the scale going down I am not super happy. I know I avoided meals yesterday and just ate too much junk. It may have been lower calories overall and it may have caused a decrease on the scale but it is all about healthy and sustainable. I vow to have a better day today. One day at a time, right?
    Day 12 – 09/28 …..209.8…..Yay!!! Better meals, a bit better movement. I just gotta watch those bad snacks!
    Day 13 – 09/29 …..210.0….. Just a simple fluctuation. I had a very well-balanced day yesterday. Low cal for sure.

    Day 17 - 10/03 …..210.4….. I salted my low sodium veggie soup because it tasted sweet and then I cheated with some dessert when I could have just had the soup and called IT dessert! Lesson learned. However, I am still down 1.6 in the last 10 days which is better than I’ve done in awhile so I will try to keep up the momentum. I am hydrating a lot today to offset any bloat.
    Day 18 – 10/04 …..210.0….. Going back down, even with challenges. #nevergiveup
    Day 19 – 10/05 …..211.6….. I ate healthy yesterday but dinner was not until 11:00 pm (busy day). Lots of steps also so this is a shock! No TMI this morning so that doesn’t help. Very disappointing but not disrupting. Staying on track today.

    Day 21 – 10/07 …..209.6….. A good day yesterday so this is likely a normal fluctuation.
    Day 22 – 10/08 …..209.8….. Another good day. The slight fluctuation must be from no TMI (potty) x 2 days. Otherwise, all is well. Good choices are being made. Not too much movement due to a pretty yucky foot injury but otherwise, all is well.
    Day 23 – 10/09 …..209.6…..Slightly better but my snacks were cheats last night. Working to stop the midnight madness!
    Day 24 – 10/10 …..210.0…..Fish fry last night. Today I will be extra careful. I am going to go look at Dawn’s videos right now. Pretty exited!

    Day 27 – 10/13 …..208.6….. I see I posted my stats yesterday on the wrong challenge. I guess I was just excited! I traveled today so I am afraid of tomorrow’s numbers, but I will try to stay positive and tackle whatever mean ol’ number that scale may bring.
    Day 28 – 10/14 …..209.2….. I’m actually quite pleased with this. Sometimes carbs pack on 2-3 pounds from one travel meal! As a diabetic, I always eat when traveling. I am sure I will always choose those lovely foods not available in my little home town. However, changing habits in some way IS good so I am trying to resign myself to smaller portions. Also a lighter calorie/carb day the day after. No need to keep the extra ounces (on my hips) right?
    Day 29 – 10/15 …..208.4….. God is Good and He has always had my back. Today is the first step in some life-changing things I have been working on. It puts me one step closer to where I need to be in my personal and professional life. I hope everyone will smile with (and for) me today. As far as my weight goes, I am not counting every carb and calorie again, just yet, but I am tweaking and making some important changes on this particular path of my journey. When all my resolutions are here, I will be able to focus again. It will be before Christmas I hope. Thanks to everyone for their continued support. Down almost a whole pound overnight and a bit lower than my pre-travel weight! I am estatic!

    Day 31 – 10/17 …..207.6….. I am trying to make a better difference everyday in my diet, movement and attitude. I’m not 100% yet, some personal things continue to hold me back in time and energy, but I’m on my way!
    Day 32 – 10/18 …..208.2….. I was very careful and got in some extra movement. I did have garlic bread (2 slices) so I guess I deserve this. I am still carefully watching portions (otherwise).
    Day 33 – 10/19 …..207.4….. I enjoyed a new Deep Dish Pizza place in my little rural town. It was very good. I ate ½ of what I would normally eat and saved the rest for my dinner. No snacks at TV time to make up for the carbs/calories. It really helped and my weight has moved down! I will make today a great day!
    Day 34 – 10/20 …..207.0…..I made a few bad choices but stopped temptation in it’s tracks and made the actual decision to make better one’s for the rest of the day. So glad I did!
    Day 35 – 10/21 …..206.2….. I’m actually patting myself on the back today. So proud I have continued my changes. Yesterday I danced to one song on my Alexa and I did one Fitness Marshall (Sour Candy) with Lady Gaga. It felt like a 20 minute workout so I am out of shape but it was fun. I always love watching him!
    Day 36 – 10/22 …..207.6…..Well that Sux! I guess grilled cheese & tomato soup is off the menu in the near future! Having chili-dogs at a local bar/restaurant today with a friend. I will have to work my whole dietary day around the pre-planned lunch. I need more movement and water today too.
    Day 37 – 10/23 …..206.8….. I could have done without the French silk pie, or could I? Still trending down so I must be diligent!

I MUST find time to cook but its pretty hard to do when most of my time lately has been away from home on projects. Tomorrow I travel far & wide to pick up my car from transmission shop downstate. I won’t be home until late evening. More weight!

    Day 48 – 11/03 …..207.6….. What a roller-coaster ride this is!
    Day 49 – 11/04 …..?????….. I actually forgot to weigh today before the coffee. Yesterday was an above-average day so the scale would probably have smiled a little bit on me.
    Day 50 – 11/05 …..206.6….. At the halfway mark in the challenge and feeling very happy with my progress. Will this 206 hold? Stay tuned.

I managed to bring it back up without being totally ridiculous. Thankful for that. I will plan more carefully today and avoid that situation tonight, I hope.
    Day 53 – 11/08 ……206.0…..Must have been hidden high sodium. My menu wasn’t bad yesterday and my movement was increased.
    Day 54 – 11/09 ….206.2….. More salty food. Today is a very big day in my life. I will have little control of anything but I will do my best.
    Day 55 – 11/10 …..207.0….. Pizza & icecream during a celebration. Kicking my own butt today.
    Day 56 – 11/11 …..207.4….. Reading my posts from various challenges, I think I’ve found a pattern of self-destruction. Every time I have a glucose drop (very scary) I end up eating high carb or sugary things at night which I believe sub-consciensly (spelled wrong) caused me to eat wrong and too much at night to avoid an episode. I am going to work around this but it won’t be easy. That survival instinct we have as humans is very strong and hard to manipulate.
    Day 72 – 11/12 …..207.4….. Same
    Day 58 – 11/13 ……207.6….. You CAN overeat healthy low cal foods. I was STARVING yesterday. Woke up STARVING again today. I hope for a better day but I am trying to pay attention to my body's cues to avoid sugar drops. Fear changes things and it's a hill I climb sometimes in my journey. Figuring it out.
    Day 59 – 11/14 …..210.0…..A neighbor brought me a Chinese Dinner yesterday from out of town. Half for lunch. Half for dinner. I thought he was my friend. : /
    Day 60 – 11/15 …..208.6….. I was careful yesterday due to some bloat and it helped. I will stay diligent today. I am proud that I turned down icecream when everyone else had it. I had a glass of cold water instead.
    Day 61 – 11/16 …..207.2….I am still working down the bloat. Michigan is closing down restaurants starting Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at midnight. I see restaurants in my day for tomorrow and Tuesday for me and my son. Just like last time, nearly all of our very few restaurants in this very small town will completely close, even if carry out is allowed. Carry out only is just not enough to sustain small town places. I will try to be mindful but I think Pizza will be one choice and that is usually not good. So, my plan is to watch the quantities. I will survive and overcome any damage.
    Day 62 – 11/17 …..209.0….. This is making me crazy. I know I need more water. Hardly shedding any at all and that is very unusual for a diabetic!
    Day 63 – 11/18 …..209.0….. Bad choices on the run with my busy life right now. I can’t wait for things to improve!
    Day 64 – 11/19 …..208.4….. Finally losing some water weight. I can’t wait to actually get to the fat!
    Day 65 – 11/20 …..208.4……Final moving day. Handing over the keys to my home and two businesses. I will be very busy unpacking over the next couple of weeks. I will not be able to focus on my diet so much, but I should be able to get in lots of movement!

    Day 74 – 11/29 …..xxxxx…… I actually forgot to weigh today. Wrapped and prepped for my DGS birthday party who turned 3. It was handled in a Covid-safe way. Cake & icecream that I couldn’t say no to, so hopefully not too much damage tomorrow.
    Day 75 – 11/30 …..207.2…… Back on track today. Those after-holiday late night cravings got to me last night. I realized after eating that I could easily have eaten much much less. Sometimes I fill my plate with the “old amounts” out of habit. I’ll have to watch that!

    @deepwoodslady - You've got your work ahead of you! I know that I'm not so inspired to paint and do all the work to fix my place up myself ... I would rather garden LOL We've been here 20 years now and it too needs some loving attention. Now my kids ... they are really tackling their places. My son and his wife bought an older home. The removing popcorn ceiling they had professionals but the painting and new flooring through out including new threads on the stairs is all them. My daughter and her husband remodeled my brother in laws old place and are now living there. They too did a ton of the work but did hire professions to help on the majority removing popcorn ceilings, moving plumbing, tile in bathrooms, etc. They roped us into helping install the kitchen cabinets LOL

    Sounds like a great arrangement for your son to begin learning more life skills.

Drove to Austin to visit my son & his wife to help with remodeling their new home today. My mom’s husband had a stroke and cranial bleeding after a fall this morning… he is in the hospital. She called as we were 1/2 way to Austin so rearranging the rest of the week. Then I found out one of our dear neighbors died from a bad reaction to chemo treatment this weekend when I got back home from Austin.
    Need to care for myself as I care for others. Time to regroup on my better habits.

    Day 59: Sat, 11/14: DNW @ Arkansas funeral 💜😊💜 Walked 2 miles. No plans to exercise today since we have the graveside funeral and long 6 hr drive both Friday & Saturday. Tracked but all meals at restaurants and mostly fried, 1845 cal, 61 net carbs, 3 glasses of wine.

    9th Week Actual Weight: 214.8 Finally below 215 on my own scale and not just mom’s!

    Day 60: Sun, 11/15: 216.7 No exercise, long drive from Arkansas, 1792 cal, 85 net carbs, AF. Oh and after the funeral there was a table full of desserts and another filled with brisket & fried chicken for the family … did indulge in a partial slice of homemade chocolate pie.
    Day 61: Mon, 11/16: 214.4 (- .1 Weigh-In Day) Walked 3 miles, 1021 cal, 14 net carbs, AF. Got back into my healthy habit routine! Scale is back where is was last Monday and Friday after a roller coaster week.
    Day 62: Tues, 11/17: 215.0 Walked 4 miles morning + 1 mile evening, 1688 cal, 23 net carbs, AF.
    Day 63: Wed, 11/18: 215.0 🩺 Annual Physical today. Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1359 cal, 91 net carbs (Tiff’s Treats Cookies daughter sent over for DH’s birthday), AF.
    Day 64: Thurs, 11/19: 215.0 🥂 Wedding Anniversary today! Yesterday Walked 3 miles, 1206 cal, 69 net carbs, 1 glass wine. Tiff’s Treats Cookies again; fasting till noon for bloodwork, salad for lunch and homemade beef veggie soup for dinner saved me on calorie consumption.
    Day 65: Fri, 11/20: 216.1 Walked 4 miles, 2350 cal, 110 net carbs, 4 glasses wine. Point Reyes virtual wine & cheese tasting, anniversary dinner at Palazzos mussels, grilled salmon, angel hair aglio olio, and garlic bread. Ate half the salmon and pasta but too much bread! Not surprised in the bump on the scale.
    Day 66: Sat, 11/21: 215.7 💜😊💜 Walked 3 miles morning + 3 miles evening, 1112 cal, 17 net carbs, AF.

    10th Week Goal Weight: <215 Tough week with birthday celebrations and wedding anniversary. Focus is to get the number on the scale to remain below 215 and inching toward 211
    10th Week Actual Weight: 215.7 I let the 214.x slip away from me with all the celebrations and unexpected cookies.

    Day 67: Sun, 11/22: 214.6 Walked 4 miles, 1914 cal, 112 net carbs, very high net carbs from pizza & Torchy’s Tini, 4 drinks.
    Day 68: Mon, 11/23: 215.3 (+.9 Weigh-In Day) Walked 3 miles, 1279 cal, 35 net carbs, AF. Wow! Brunch with the kids to celebrate DH’s birthday … poached eggs on crab cakes with hot sauce hollandaise and skillet hash browns.
    Day 69: Tues, 11/24: 214.1 Walked 5 miles, 1684 cal, 55 net carbs, AF. I know what to do to lose weight I just need to execute and repeat! One slice of pizza with salad instead of 3 slices and no salad. Did splurge on a little yummy homemade mac&cheese with steak and roasted broccoli.
    Day 70: Wed, 11/25: 213.8 Walked 3 miles, 1325 cal, 29 net carbs, 2 wine, 2 drinks.
    Day 71: Thurs, 11/26: 213.6 🦃 Walked 3 miles morning + 2 miles evening, 1328 cal, 39 net carbs, 2 wine. Fries but no bun with the burger :) Turkey thawed, side dishes created and in fridge!
    Day 72: Fri, 11/27: 215.6 Walked 3 miles, 2553 cal, 140 net carbs, 3 wine. Skipped lunch after logging my food for dinner in advance! Lovely Thanksgiving meal.
    Day 73: Sat, 11/28: 215.6 💜😊💜 Walked 2 miles, 1820 cal, 119 net carbs, AF. Leftover Thanksgiving food galore for lunch & turkey sausage gumbo for dinner.

    11th Week Actual Weight: 215.6 Let the 213.x slip away and indulged in too much Thanksgiving. Back to the drawing board!

    Day 74: Sun, 11/29: 214.1 Walked 4 miles in the rain, 1224 cal, 38 net carbs, AF.
    Heading to the camp in order to help my Mom (her husband passed away this month) … review her financial situation, review & pay bills, get her Christmas decor out of attic and decorate (plus find a spot for it to store so there is no need to use attic in the future). Remember to care for myself as I care for her.

    Day 76: Tues, 12/1: 214.3 @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3 miles, 1617 cal, 92 net carbs, 2 7&7. Rice in my gumbo and the pecan pie were the killers to my carbs today.
    Day 77: Wed, 12/2: 214.4 @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3.6 miles, plank, 2014 cal, 108 net carbs (fries & pecan pie), 1 wine.
    Day 78: Thurs, 12/3: 213.6 @ fishing camp 🎣 No exercise, mentally exhausted helping my mom, 1109 cal, 39 net carbs, 2 wine. Fried shrimp & boiled crabs fresh out of the water for dinner.
    Day 79: Fri, 12/4: 215.1 @ fishing camp 🎣 Walked 3.6 miles, plank, 2396 cal, 98 net carbs, 3 bourbon & 7.
    Day 80: Sat, 12/5: 214.6 @ fishing camp 🎣 💜😊💜 Walked 3.6 miles, 1163 cal, 35 net carbs, 1 bourbon & 7, 2 wine.

    12th Week Actual Weight: 214.6 Frustrated that I’ve not been able to make 213 stick and keep seeing 214 and 215! But then again this has been a stressful week with lots of challenges. Not giving up on this goal … in it again for the next round!
